Purchased as replacement or successor to philips Sonicare Flexcare Toothbrush (which began dying a slow & painful death after 8 years of daily use).
As I only used the MaxCare setting of the Flexcare unit, it seemed worth downsizing and indeed, in that regard the Series 2 has proven satisfactory. Biggest disappointment is the lack of battery capacity in the newer, (less expensive) model.
While the Flexcare could go 2 weeks between charges, the Series 2 seems to need charging after 7 days of twice a day use.
Pros: less expensive than the flexcare
Cons: shorter battery life between charges

I received the Sonicare toothbrush for an honest review of the product. First things first... I loved it! My teeth and gums feel so clean and healthy. It definitely does a better job than I do with a manual brush. I like that the charging station is small and doesn`t take too much room on my limited space in my small bathroom. It is easy to use and like the ability to change heads so other family members can use it as well. I can`t wait to go to the dentist and hopefully not get lectured on my plaque! I will be recommending this product to friends and coworkers

I recievd a free sample of the Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush and was excited to try it out. I was a little surprised at how strong the vibrations were and how much it tickled upon initial use. However, I quickly got used to the strong vibrations and this was not an issue. The strong vibrations tend to prevent the toothpaste from foaming up as it does with manual brushing. I've been using the product now for several weeks and am quite impressed thus far. It seems to do a better job of cleaning than a manual toothbrush. I have not yet been to a dentist to confirm this, but I will say that my teeth feel as clean as when you leave the dentist's office after a cleaning! The only con to this products are that it tends to turn off during use as the on/off button is right where my hand is during brushing.

I received a free sample of Philips Sonicare Plague Control Toothbrush to review. This toothbrush amazingly clean your teeth effortlessly. The whole unit is well designed I especially liked the head design of this toothbrush. It was very easy to assemble and in no time ready to be used. This product is fantastic, it not only meet but exceeded my expectations. The ease of use, the deep cleaning (never experienced before) and the unit design to name a few is exceptional so is the result. Improvement that in my opinion would help is to have a web link with video demonstrating the way of using this toothbrush to attain the best result instead of written only steps. I definitely will recommend this toothbrush after experiencing the amazing result, I have full faith in it. Last but not least, this product really made me change the way I look at brushing my teeth from a boring fast manual brushing to an exiting experience of clean and plaque free teeth!
My wife gave me this toothbrush as a gift. I always used a regular one. At first it felt differnt to have it do the brushing for me. After using it for a week I got use to it & works great. So far so good with the charging of the toothbrush. 5 stars.
My only problem with the brush is that it slips out of my hands while brushing.

I received a free Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush in exchange for writing a review. At first I felt that it was a bit too abrasive (aka the buzzing was a little much). Had it not been for my agreeing to use it for seven days I might not have kept on with it. By the third day of brushing twice a day I totally got used to the feeling of the toothbrush. I have since used my old toothbrush and definitely feel like I'm not getting the same level of cleaning than what I get with the Sonicare
Was a long time user of the E-series and purchased these for my sons. I must say that these are much more powerful and do a lot better job of removing plaque then the e series. Much easier to keep clean than older style electric brushes. Nice product.
