Love the timer!

*I received this product free in exchange for writing this review. This is the first electric toothbrush I have ever used. I've always loved to brush manually as I have felt I can clean my teeth better. My dentist tells me I am brushing too hard and this is why my gums are receding and always red. I took the toothbrush right out of the box and was immediately able to use it. I then charged it overnight. The bristles are super soft and it is extremely quiet. My favorite feature is the timer. It shuts off when you have brushed as long as recommended. After using this product for a week, my gums have not been swollen or red. I feel like it does a great job keeping my teeth clean and I hope that it will aid in keeping my gums from receding any further. I am extremely happy with this product and definitely recommend it.

Lost power

I bought the less expensive brush and regret it. It lasted a year before it started losing its power. The motor, with a fully charged battery, just did not have enough power to move the brush as it had at the beginning.
This brush has been replaced with a 6100 which was twice the price, but hope it will last.

The toothbrush is noisy, bulky and gives just an average cleaning. This is my 5th from Phillips and all the prior ones had failed prematurely so this time I bought one with less features in hopes that it would be more robust. Not sure that will be the case but feel that if it is not I'll give another brand a try. Sorry Phillips.
Pros: fairly priced.
Cons: noisy, bulky

My teeth feel great!

I received this toothbrush in exchange for a review and overall I loved it. Not being an electric toothbrush person in the past, I immediately noticed how much cleaner it made my teeth feel. My favorite features are:
The length of the brush attachment- it is easy to get all the way to the back of my teeth.
The quadrant timing feature- it helps me make sure I have spent enough time brushing and have covered all my teeth equally.

I loved the idea of the feature you could select to gradually increase the intensity since I wasn`t used to the electric brush, however I wish it was even more gradual.... That would be my only `complaint.`
Overall- I`m sold!
Pros: long brush head, timer, teeth feel so clean!
Cons: expensive replacement heads

Best toothbrush I ever used!

I was very happy when I was offered the opportunity to review the Sonicare Plaque Control toothbrush for my honest opinion as I was wanting to try one for such a long time. I honestly believe that this is the best toothbrush I have ever used. My teeth felt so clean and smooth and just really, really clean. My old toothbrush could not even come close. The Sonicare Plaque control toothbrush was super easy to use and it very attractive and modern looking.
I purchased some replacement heads that have different colors at the base and my kids and myself switch the brushes as necessary, I don`t know if its because it`s an electric toothbrushes or not, but my kids are honestly brushing better and more often without me nagging at them, so this is totally a win win for me.
Pros: super clean feeling
Cons: none

I received the Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush as part of an online product review. I was excited the try out a nice electric toothbrush since I use a manual one. It is sleek looking and works straight out of the box. It comes with a small charging station that plugs into the wall, but I haven't had to charge it yet and it's been over 3 weeks. I use it twice a day at minimum. It holds battery power very well and never has seemed to lose juice. It is a bit to get used to at first because the vibration is slightly aggressive for someone used to a manual toothbrush. I have gotten used to it and like the way it cleans. It even freezes up and won't continue to brush if you're pushing it too hard into your teeth, i would assume to prevent overscrubbing and abasing your enamel. I definitely like this toothbrush.

Over-all I like this brush very well. I am still learning to use it but in the beginning I am very awkward with it.
For a while I was getting an intermittent noise that sounded like gears grinding - different than the sound when I hit a tooth. For no reason that I understand that gear-grinding noise has stopped so maybe I have no problem.
