Great Toothbrush!

I received a free Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush to review and it's fantastic! This is actually my first electric toothbrush and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I really do. I like how the head is smaller and can get to all those hard to reach places, and the vibration is strong but not too strong. It also has a 2 minute timer that goes off every 30 seconds so you know when to switch to another part of your mouth. It hardly takes up any space at all on my vanity which is really nice too. Also the head has blue colored brushes that fade and turn white letting you know when it's time to get a new head. I wish I would've tried one of these sooner!

Good results, bad sensations

I was sent a free sample of the Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush to review. I generally prefer to use a manual toothbrush and was excited at the opportunity to possibly add to my dental health regimen by using an electronic toothbrush. I used the product twice a day for 2 weeks and was very impressed by the clean (just visited the dentist) feeling of my overall teeth, gums and tongue. The toothbrush is very easy to set up, just plug it in, and charges quickly. It is quiet and does not leave a sprayed look on the sink or mirror. My teeth look more shiny, and I even used it to clean my tongue. I love the size, should be great for travel.
I will add the toothbrush to my dental routine, but it will not completely replace my manual toothbrush. I have come to use it about every other evening as I found that I could not get used to the vibration of the brush. Daily use left my mouth lower lip feeling numb(tingling sensation) after use. If your mouth is sensitive, the vibration may not be comfortable.
In closing, I`m very impressed by the results, but it is not the toothbrush for me for daily use. Perhaps others will not be bothered by the sensations, but I would have to let anyone know about my reaction if I were asked if they should purchase one.
Pros: just visited the dentist clean
Cons: vibration left lower lip tingling/numb after use

It really does slow plaque buildup. I am amazed at how different my teeth feel when I do not use it now.
The drawbacks are; the bristles are very stiff and I hesitate to put too much pressure on them. And they're very expensive to replace. So I only use it only once a day. The machine is also cumbersome. With technology as it is, i'm wondering if you couldn't invent a smaller version for travel? It seems to hurt one or two of my teeth like especially if I hold it a little off. But maybe I'll get used to that.

Good electric toothbrush. I have to mention that I did receive a free sample to use for this review and also that I have been using an electric toothbrush for about 10 years. First off I really like the brush head. Before trying this out I was using the Oral B pro 3000. I totally prefer the brush head on the sonic care over the oral B. I also like that design of the brush attachment better also as I think it is sleeker and thinner. This is also a lighter (weight) toothbrush and a much quieter one also.Speaking to how well it cleans or brushes, I would say pretty good when compared to what I was using. Make sure you read the instructions, cause I had to deactivate the easy start feature cause I found that it was not brushing "hard" enough. Deactivating the easy start does increase the intensity but not as much as I expected. I was surprised because I was so used to a rougher brushing experience and the sonic care did a nice job of cleaning but in a much gentler way. Should also mention that it does have a timer on it to remind you to change sections in your mouth every 30 secs, it is a high pitched tone and kind of makes you think you are hearing a beeping in your head. Took a couple brushes to get used to that but at first I found it a bit troubling. If there was one thing I could recommend it would be that the toothbrush have multiple speeds that the user could control. Besides for that I actually was pleasantly surprised and am considering getting some additional brush heads to continue using it. Overall I would say it is a pretty good electric toothbrush.
Pros: shape of brush head, quietness of toothbrush
Cons: beeping of the quad pacer
