After my dentist recommended I start using an electric toothbrush, I bought this model Philips/Sonicare, and loved it from day one. It lasted five years, and I just purchased another. It leaves my mouth feeling like I just had a professional cleaning. But the best part is I'm getting great checkups. I've loved it so much that I even bought it as a gift. This is affordable, durable, and effective. It's surprising how good is makes your mouth feel and teeth look. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Whereas my Sonicare 2 Series toothbrush has perform well it has gotten rather noisy. My wife purchased the same product a year later that was much quieter, but quit working a couple of weeks ago. She liked it so well that she purchased the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100 Plaque Control hoping it will last longer than her series 2.

Simple electric brush

I would have continued to use this if: Charge didn’t run down so quickly. This is the second toothbrush where it has turned on by itself usually in the middle of the night. You could turn it off but it would come back on again. 2 brush thrown out the door, literally. Finally decided to try one last product that was much more expensive with more brushing options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For a closer result, make sure that you're still using the original charger that came with your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush. Also be aware that, charging on a metal surfaces or near other chargers can create interferences.
Finally, make sure the bottom of your toothbrush is touching the center of the charging glass or charging pad.
