I've been using my Sonicare for about 6 or 7 months when it just stopped working. I called the Philips customer care services and they were kind enough to send me another toothbrush, but that one ended up just dying as well. So there was nothing wrong with the toothbrush; the charger shows that it's charging the toothbrush when it really isn't.
Pros: good strength for brushing teeth

Easy to use and recharge. The only thing I would recommend is having a 30 second timer so that one knows when to switch to the other side of the mouth, top, bottom, sides. I have owned another brand and I liked that feature. Also a little beep to indicate that the 2 minutes is almost done would be nice.

The Phillips Sonicare was recommended by my dental hygienist and I'm very pleased with its performance. The Sonicare is easy to use and a brief change in vibes tells you when it is time to brush another of the 4 quadrants of your teeth. Very good at removing and preventing plaque. The Sonicare is rechargable, so no batteries to change. Cleans up easily and the brush heads are easy to change and there are different brush heads available for different purposes. Solid feel in your hands and very quiet to use. Not cheap sounding or feeling. It is self timing too and turns itself off after 2 minutes of brushing, which seems to go by more quickly than manually brushing?? Read the instructions on use, as there is no need to saw back and forth like you're used to doing with your manual toothbrush. Wish I had purchased a Sonicare sooner! Great product.

I cannot even compare brushing with a regular toothbrush to brushing with Sonicare. I've used a Sonicare brush for about 11 years and I couldn't live without it. No cavities or plaque problems in the last 11 years at all! I just got the newest one for my 13 year old son and he LOVES it. He wasn't a stellar brusher before, but he's a huge fan of the Sonicare. His words after the first use: "I'll never go back." His teeth were visibly cleaner after only a couple weeks of use!
Pros: easy to use, easy to clean, feels great, makes a difference!
