My dentist who did thousands of dollars worth of crowns for me recommended Sonicare tooth brush to me 20 years ago and I have been using one ever since. My mouth feels like I just had a professional cleaning at the dentist office after each use. I highly recommend this tooth brush. Conventional tooth brushes don't give you the thorough cleaning that Sonicare gives you.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been through 2 Sonicare toothbrushes since my dentist recommended it years ago. So I bought my third, its a little different then my first 2. Purchased the Sonicare 2 Series and I like the smaller profile and toothbrush head. Just a little confused with the charging process, the other 2 when fully charged indicated that with a steady green light. On the Series 2 the light goes green when first put back on the charger but then goes out. Is this normal ? Other then that little confusion we are very happy with our Series 2 the price was great and my teeth feel great after I brush.
At 45 years old, I've never used an electric toothbrush before, so I can't compare Sonicare 2 to others, but I've always been skeptical of electric over a good manual brushing.
On my first use, I felt like it didn't do much, as the deliberate, vigorous forcing of bristles between teeth I've grown accustomed to was missing.
However, a few seconds after using it, I did notice a marked increase in the smoothness of my teeth over my usual manual brushing. So I'm pretty much convinced it works to remove more plaque than manual brushing.
However, I still miss the feeling of moving bristles between my teeth, like some form of cleaning I've grown accustomed to is missing, so I now do BOTH Sonicare 2 and manual toothbrushing in my daily regimen.
If I do have a concern, it's the fact that the battery is NiMH rather than Li-ion, but time will tell how much of an issue this will be.
Regardless of whether or not you also miss the forcing of bristles between your teeth, I would say that Sonicare is a solid investment in the improvement of your dental health.
I bought this toothbrush to replace an older Sonicare toothbrush. It does not have all the features of the older toothbrush but I never used most of the ones on the older brush.
