Vibration spotty after 3 years again

This is my second Philips Sonicare brush, and again the vibration becomes less powerful after the 3 year mark. It happened in the same time frame with my last one, and this is just unacceptable. I haven't dropped it or done anything with it, it's fully charged, and it just suddenly started a week ago. What more is that the steel part which you connect to the brush head is rusting. Brushing seems like it doesn't nothing, and on random days it'll go full throttle, but more days than not, it just vibrates slightly which isn't a good brushing experience.
Last Philips product I'll be buying in a long time.

Hi Jayjay,
We are sorry to hear that the product did not live up to your expectations.
For a closer result, make sure that you're still using the original charger that came with your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush. Also be aware that, charging on a metal surfaces or near other chargers can create interferences.
Finally, make sure the change the brush every 3 months.

Very diappointed with this product.

Have used a Sonicare toothbrush for the last several years, the latest being a Series e. This new toothbrush has a much smaller head, its action is not nearly as intense as my old (3 year old) Sonicare. The Series 2 model doesn't have the quad signal in its 2 minute timer, and the battery indicator doesn't show any increments - just charged or not.
Will return this product if I can, and buy an older model.

Not as good as eSeries

I found a great deal on this product and my old eSeries one was only lasting about 5 uses between charges so the battery was just about shot (lasted a good 3 years). At first I was really disappointed because it was nowhere even close to the power of my old one. I began looking through the manual and saw the part about the 14 day easy start that ramps up the power. I went and checked my brush and it was on, no wonder such weak power. As soon as I turned it off, I got a lot of the power I was used.
It is still not as powerful as my old one but pretty close. If you are a previous owner of a sonicare and your teeth are already used to the high vibrations make sure you turn off the easy start program.
Cons: very noisy compared to previous models

Charging base is cheap

Previously had an e series and it was great, bought the HX6212/05 last night and what a disappointment. The charging base is so cheap and light that it does not hold the handle upright and falls over. Was expecting better quality from Sonicare product. Will try to return and buy an e series again just for the charging base

This company makes it very difficult to find model #. Without # it is impossible to purchase replacement brush heads. Get your act together

Just from the Dentist Clean

When I first received the Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush, I was a little skeptical. I received it as a free sample. The first thing that I noticed was that the brush head was very small. I thought, `How could something so small do a good job cleaning?` I gave it a try and really was amazed at how clean it made my mouth feel. It really felt as though I had just left the dentist. Overall, it is small, but it is powerful. It also is very quiet. I am glad that I had the opportunity to try it and now wish that I would have purchased one sooner.
Pros: quiet, easy to use, pwowerful
Cons: replacement heads are expensive

Poor design

I do love the higher end electronic toothbrushes and our old Sonicare was great. This one doesn't have the quad timer (although I'm fairly sure the box and manual said it did.)
The heads are less bulky than the old ones which is easier to keep clean but they don't really slip on and off well. One is never quite sure it's all the way on.
Finally the base is so small there's NO place to store extra cord. Who has space on their bathroom counter for extra cord to be hanging around? It's a small but really irritating design flaw.
Cons: no cord storage, no quad timer, brush heads mounting not easy
