This design produces better results that other designs for me.

From a design point of view, the brush motor handle is fine.
The design of their brush heads are questionable. They use a metal ring at the base of the head for some unknown purpose - not copied by 3rd party designs. This metal ring comes loose with use and begins to rattle - very annoying. This problem verified by my dental office.

Solution is to buy and use 3rd party brush heads instead of OEM heads.
Pros: improved dental health

Im a future dental assistant... so i nees to make sure i take care of my teeth and this toothbrush did that ans more. Eveytime i brushe i can feel the how clean my teeth are.

I have found the series 2 sonicate toothbrush to be easy to use and very effective in cleaning. It has 30 second vibrations built into the overall 2 minute timer without all of the new bluetooth bells and whistles. I have been very pleased with its use over the first month since purchase.

Have loved my Sonicare since first owned one many yrs ago. Took it to Afghanistan during deployment, glad the charge lasts up to 2 wks. My dentist and hygienist always comment on how great my dental hygiene is; it's because of a Sonicare! Btw, I'm a smoker, so that's impressive. Wish the basic model and replacement heads weren't so expensive. I tend to use the heads twice as long as I should due to the cost. I was told by my dental hygiene cleaning sister, it's because of the 2 min timer; but I disagree. It's a combo of time and speed. Pls reconsider your pricing Sonicare.

I had this for a few months after my dentist recommended one after my last cleaning. It is an amazing product and so much better than using a normal brush. Both my hygienist and dentist can notice the difference with the use. It was by far one of the best bang for the buck purchases I have made.

I like having an electric toothbrush but with this one, it starts out just making a noise and then it kicks in halfway through the first cycle and starts to rotate/vibrate. To feel like I have brushed my teeth, I do a four minute session instead of a two minute session. I purchased this one because my last one did the same thing.
Cons: doesn't start out right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
