Good phone, until it quickly broke.

In the beggining, I loved this phone, and all the features. I could barely put it down because of the features. Some parts of it are confusing for a regular person, but for me it was pretty easy. I was later informed many of the features were useless without internet. I was disappointed with the small scrollbar on the side. It was hard to use, and I had a hard time using it. I was also disappointed that the monotonous white background, and black letters could not be changed. I really enjoyed using the MEdia net internet browser, which was as fast as an Iphone. I also enjoyed using microsoft office on it, the computer connection capabilities, and the windows media player. The picture and video quality was great, and took crisp, clear photos, and videos. Many options were available on the camera, like burst mode (continuous shots) and panoramic mode. However, after a little less than two weeks of having the phone, the camera took black, and white photos, in regular mode, and had streaks of blue, red, and green on it, which was the colors of the picture moved drastically. The photo also had a green line on the top of the photo that I couldn't get rid of. When viewing the area I was going to photograph, the photo looked fine, but turned like that after the photo was taken. The video worked fine though. Soon that day, the phone suddenly shut off for no reason. I think it was because thebattery dropped from 2/3 to 0/3 in about half an hour. Usually, the battery lasted longer, about a day turned on, or so. In conclusion, the phone was good in the beggining, but in two weeks, the phone broke. I am taking the phone to the at&t store tomorrow.
Pros: camera/video quality, tools, Wi-Fi capable, features, gps
Cons: battery life, small keys, camera's colors streaking
I would recommend this to a friend!

Adivce: skip this phone

I got this phone online, thought it looked great and was really excited for it. I opened it, set it up and it was all down hill from there. Everything was to hard to select, because the on-screen buttons are so small. The keyboard is terrible (nothing like the iPod touch or iPhone if you think you can handle it), texting actually was harder with this phone than with a simple number keypad. You cannot see what you are typing because the keyboard takes up most of the screen. And it froze numerous times. If your getting this phone because it has wifi (like I did), forget about it, it still displays mostly cell phone versions of websites.
I have since exchanged this phone for an lg xenon (and got money back b/c it's cheaper) and it is great, touch screen with a regular keyboard.
Pros: battery life, durable
Cons: bulky/heavy, freezes, operating system, poor navigation, small keys, software bugs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HATE THIS PHONE !!! It froze ALLL the time !!! It never stayed calibrated , ever . It would even freeze after I got off the phone . I wouldn't get ANY text messages or phone calls . It's a big inconvenience considering I'm a 16 year old girl and I need my texting and phone calls . I would NOT recommend this phone to a friend . Maybe an enemy though (: .
Pros: battery life
Cons: freezes, operating system, software bugs
I would recommend this to a friend!

feature packed sexy touch-screen mirror
on May 6, 2009

the phone literally shines like a mirror...
the phone is really complicated, feature packed, so if you are not a tech savvy person you do not want this phone.
it is also slow at response, and freezes from time to time (but you expect anything with windows to do that) , and it scratches easy, and the ultra glossy surface dosnt help hide it either
but if you get over cons, pros are worth considering. its a feature packed phone. tech savvy people would love using the phone to its fullest extend. camera, video, weather, media player, blah blah blah...you get the point.
also its has a regular 3.5mm head phone jack. so you can use your noise cancelling headphones from any brand with this phone.....
bottom line,
dont get it if you are a phone person,
get it if you are a smartphone person.
Pros: camera/video quality, games, menus, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, bang for the buck
Cons: battery life, durability, freezes, limited memory, poor navigation, small keys, software bugs
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not like it at all and cannot wait to replace it!
It's very sensitive to the touch and you can make calls you don't want. Retreiving pictures and messages is difficult.
Cons: durability, poor navigation, volume level
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had very high hopes for this phone.

Let me just say that I have been using smart phones for a about 5 years so Im not new to the market. I was the first person to buy this phone from the att store in November. I had very high expectations for this new touch screen phone. My first phone was very problematic but that is to be expected with any first gen smart phone so I was not put off at all, I just went and exchanged it. There has only been one issue with the new phone which is the caller id screen shifting so that I cannot see who is calling. A reboot of the phone fixes this so its really not a big deal. I am very disappointed by the touch by the touch screen. The windows drop down menu is too small to use your fingers to select something so I end up using the stylus which kind of defeats the purpose. Another dislike is the games interface. It seems that when in a game other than solitare the touch becomes sluggish leading to some frustration. The last fault I found with this phone is the GPS. It updated very slowly which lead me too far a few of the streets I was supposed to turn down. This was by the way while I was walking, not driving, and connected to 3G network.
The phone isnt all bad it has an amazing camera, great call quality and is very simply laid out. Unfortunately though I wish I would have saved 300 bucks and gone with the VU.
Pros: battery life, camera/video quality, durable, good for texting, speaker, tools, Wi-Fi capable
Cons: operating system, poor navigation, software bugs, windows drop menu
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
