Amazing phone... but takes some effort

I've had this phone since Mar '09. My razr died and was looking for something new. I wasn't eligible for an upgrade so I ended up paying full price. When I first got it, I was so confused and was wondering if I made a mistake. Boy was I wrong. First thing I figured out was that it isn't one of those phone you take out the box and it's good to go. It takes some time to get set up right. For those claiming bad battery life, let me let you in on a little secret... when you first get it, don't let the battery go down less than 50% before you charge it again. Do this a few times and the battery life is great. For those complaining about storage space... get a microsd card. I have a 16gb card and I have tons of apps/videos/music installed. Spend some time over at lg-incite.com and learn how to get things setup. Unlike the Iphone, this thing is truly customizable. Don't like the default keyboard... download a different one. Don't like the today screen... download a different one. Don't like the menu size... install something to fix that. There's no limit to what you can do. Make some registry changes and the touch response improves. Heck, if you feel like it, there's even a rom update for windows 6.5 available. It works (I'm running it). Haven't used the stylus in over a month. It just takes a little time and effort. If you want something that just works out the box... don't get this phone. You'll be disappointed.
Pros: battery life, games, good for texting, tools, Wi-Fi capable, customization
Cons: volume level

Great phone depending on what you're looking for!

I have read many negative comments about this phone, and I have to tell you I totally disagree with all of them. I have replaced an 8525, which I hated, with the Incite, which I love in every way. I have a program that I use that needs the 3" screen, which is the largest AT&T offers. Otherwise, it is one of the most user-friendly and nicest phones I have ever seen. I need the integration with Windows since I have a service business. All the buttons are in great places and are ergonomic, unlike the 8525. It's light and fits in a shirt pocket nicely. The touch-screen operates smoothly, unlike most of the comments I've heard, and if you don't like the default keypad, you can switch to the Windows Mobile 6 keypad. The battery is great, and really, it meets my needs perfectly. I don't use data, but I do use it in wifi hot spots and it works flawlessly. Hands down, the best PDA phone I have ever seen. I use it as a business tool and it does it extremely well.
The LG Incite is one of the best phones on the market. I changed from the LG VU to the LG Incite, and am very satisfied with my decision. The Incite has many excellent features including wi-fi, great texting, good touch feedback, microsoft office, and a nice layout. This phone is very easy to use, as it has a very nice phone menu, and you can make your own favorites page with your favorite apps, which is very handy. The Incite for me has good battery length. It usually goes 2-3 days without a charge. The display is great with a nice screen and many colors, but the one problem is that the phone is hard to use/read when it is bright, because the light reflects off of the screen.

Not simple, but worth it.

I spent a lot of time researching and comparing phones and most of the negative comments were from users who were expecting a simpler device. If you want something that performs basic tasks without having to learn how, this phone is NOT for you. If you want a smartphone with WiFi that is highly configurable and are willing to expend the effort to figure it out, this is a great phone.
The phone required a soft reset after installing a couple of apps, but so far it has never frozen (although before I learned to actually look at the display, I thought it had a few times). My previous phone was the Shine and this phone is louder and clearer and the camera, even without the flash, takes much better pictures. The stylus is a little goofy, but I am using it less as I get accustomed to the menus.
The battery lasts a long time if you only enable WiFi and Bluetooth when you are using them. Task manager can close applications if the phone gets sluggish, if you are in the habit of leaving things running. I haven't experienced any slowness, although the accelerometer seems a little fussy, but no fussier than on my son's iPhone or my wife's Samsung Eternity.
My old PDA is a Casio E-115. I'm just getting to know the LG Insite. It seems that most problems can be fixed by adjusting settings. I read here that some users were having problems with the small key and inaccurate stylus taps. Problem solved! Start, Settings, System tab, Screen, Align Screen will fix the misalignment, and does it ever! I can hit the smallest buttons accurately once aligned. Some of the buttons sizes are influenced by the size of the screen font. Adjust that at the same place under the Text Size tab.
Pros: ease of use

Best phone ever for advanced/business users

This really is an amazing phone...dont believe all of the reviews on here that say it is horrible and slow...it does require some tweaking in order to get the best out of it but thats what makes it great...dont get this phone if you expect it to be easy to set up or if you are a novice or beginner this is for advanced users and business type the coolest thing about this phone is that it lets you actually write on the screen with the stylus instead of having to type, and it works well...also wifi is amazing...windows mobile allows you to install some really cool apps...my only qualm with the phone is that the stylus has to be tethered outside the phone and there is no silo or slot for it I used the LG VU before this and this is a HUGE upgrade i will never need another phone...unless i break this one...lol please take this phone into consideration
Pros: tools, Wi-Fi capable, transcriber, apps, office mobile
Cons: no stylus silo

I am pleased with this phone. I has excellent call quality and has many amazing features. it is hard to get used to. the only thing i don't like about it is that its hard to txt with it since the qwerty keboard takes up most of the screen. It's already had its first drop test and survived without any problems.
when i first got this phone about 5 months ago i was reading the reviews and thought that the phone was a decent touch screen for the price, and when i got it its was great. i just thought the freezing and other problems people were having was because they may have dropped it or got it wet. but i was wrong. about 3 months into owning the phone it started going bad. i have never dropped it. never got it wet. the phone just starts to fail. at first it would freez every once and a wile. i would reset it and it would be fine for about a week. then the touch screen would start to mess up. i would press one button and something else i did not want to would come up or a different letter would be hit. after a wile i recalabrated the screen which worked for a wile but now fails to fix anything. because of this i was unable to make an emergency phone call because i could not get the phone to unlock. fortunatly some one else was able to make the call. i would not recommend this phone to anyone. its a pain to use.
Pros: battery life, menus
Cons: bulky/heavy, freezes, poor navigation, small keys, software bugs
