Junk - Don't even buy a refurbished one!

This was a great washer until it quit working. Only had this about three years and the motor went out. Not worth replacing. Will not buy GE again. I would've expected this to last a little longer.

This NOT a large capacity washer

The upper half of the drum is wasted space. It is unusable. I have taken clothes out if this washer with dry spots on them. As in not even a drop of water touched these spots through any of the cycles. Does it save water if you have to wash the clothes twice?

REPLACING AFTER 2 1/2 YEARS

This washing machine does not clean clothes well as it does not use much water. Its only 2 1/2 years old and now its making sounds like a geese and water is leaking from underneath. I am having to replace it already. I would not recommend a GE washer to anyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer lasted 3yrs. I guess thats the time span everyone is giving it. I just had a repairman come out and check it and was told the motor is broken and I would basically need to buy a new one. I cant believe after only 3 yrs it broke.The price was great but then again I guess you get what you pay for.

Horrible machine

I've had it 8 years and it literally cannot be repaired. Motor failed after 3 years and the transmission was failing. Was going to replace but the internals were so rusted that the tub seal expanded and broke the plastic tub it was mounted in. The plastic tub is no longer available so the machine is junk. Extremely poor engineering.

Piece of junk

My washer is only 8 years old and the motor is shot. I am a single person who does 3 loads per week. So over 8 years 1,100 loads on medium and large setting never jumbo loads and the machine can't handle it? I thought GE was a trusted solid quality product . I stick to names that been around a long time. Not anymore. Very disappointed.

Solid machine at a solid price

I couldn't be happier with the quality here. I was looking for something middle of the road -- decent quality as opposed to low, but not too expensive -- and I hit the bullseye with this machine.
