Handle pieces seemed too small to screw together. Put hand soap on threads and was able to assemble. Took some patience

I have had a Bissell sweeper for years, recently I purchased one for my daughter, after helping me because of an illness, she was so very impressed with mine, it seemed like the only thing to do.They are fantastic for between vacuuming, extremely efficient, I am very house proud, love a clean home, would not want to be with out my Bissell sweeper. Needs stronger (stiffer) brushes

Mine is at least 12 years old. I can't find a model # on it, so it may not be the same as the one above. But it has never done a good pick-up job like my grandmother's big one, back in the late 1940's. I wish the brushes on mine were stiffer - they just roll over and past the dirt on the floor, or skid it along instead of picking it up. I do clean the brushes, so it isn't that they are dirty. I do like the idea of a non-electric sweeper, just wish I could get stiffer bristled brushes for it.
