Design flaws

I am comparing this unit to a single brush Bissell "ALL SURFACE" unit I have used for about 15 years and which has worked flawlessly for the entire time. Unfortunatly, Bissell no longer makes this unit or I would buy two. I bought 2 of the "Natural Sweep" units and am returning them both! Problems I see are: 1) Can only be pushed from one side; 2) Dust pan does not lock in open position to facilitate emptying 3) Does not come with a brush comb 4) Dust pans are plastic vs. metal. Not as durable. 5) Drive wheels (for brushes) appear to slip, does not pick up as well 6) Pet hair, rather than being deposited in dust pans, builds up on brushes 7) Too large for my use (width / depth)

Love my sweeper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Natural sweeper for many years now. It's wonderful! No cords to mess with, so it's perfect for picking up crumbs or stray popcorn after a late night movie. I have never had a problem with the collection bins being too small or overflowing. I just empty after each use, no big deal. The only complaint I have is hair wrap on the brushes. I have long hair, but on the plus side it picks up hair even on carpeting. Also, I have never had the handle fall off, ever. I put the sweeper together myself, and I have painful psoriatic arthritis in my hands. It's very easy to put together. I use this sweeper on carpeting, hard floor and on wood floors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't make them like they used to

Used these kind of sweepers years ago and thought this would be perfect for light sweeping on hard floors since vacuum rollers just spit the small stuff around. Couldn't be more disappointed in this sweeper. It's like it's too tall to even reach the floor. Cat litter and kitchen crumbs either don't get touched or get moved around but never actually picked up. I guess it's back to the broom and dustpan. Waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They don't make things like they used to. 30 plus year ago I had a floor sweeper and it worked great so I purchased this one thinking it would work as well. Only thing it can pick up is dog and cat hair. I can't believe the design engineers would actually market something so ineffective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is retired and spends alot of time inside. He has sensative ears & the sweeper noise is a big frustration to him. I am delighted to be able to use the bissel anytime I see something on our red carpet. It helps us both to be happy & clean. I have an earlier model bissell, but it did not hold up. One of the brushes fell off, but I still use it upstairs. Both are light & quiet & very easy to use. Thank you for a great alternative to the heavy, difficult cord & noisy electric vacuum. Keep up the good work for all of us grateful housewives. PS I saw this model being used at a senior care facility & it was recommended.

The brushes in this sweeper are way too soft. They do not pickup even small particle and any pet hair is almost impossible to get out of the brushes. It spits out any particles is picks up. I cannot return to the store as it is "used" . I have used Bissell products for over 30 years and this is the first product I am not pleased with. I have a large vacuum and a pet care steamer which I love but this is a real disappointment.

Kept falling apart

The trim kept falling off. When the trim fell off, the dust tray on the front wouldn't stay shut when using the sweeper. I've owned a more expensive sweeper in the past and it was great, just really heavy. I loved the weight of this one, but I couldn't keep the trim from falling off all the time.
