I wanted to purchase this sweeper a long time . I should've done it . It is quite handy and with a dog and a cat that leaves gobs of fur around ...well it,s perfect

This is really a good product. Picks up very well, even from the sides, only problem is, Ice had to buy two in the past 6 months because for some reason, the handle breaks off from the base. I don't understand how or why. This time the company has agreed to send me another. I hope this one doesn't break because it's really a pleasure not to have to look for plugs and not to hear the noise and it even leaves marks just like a vaccume cleaner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After virtually 1 year, the stick keeps on falling apart at the joints. It sweeps very nicely, but the quality is really lacking.

I was so excited about this purchase, I thought these things died along with the 80's. My excitement began to wan as I began to unbox. No instructions. Yes, I understand its not rocket science but I do not play fast and loose with my birthday money(yes, this was something I purchased and a carpet cleaner!! Weird I know but practicality is a way better gift than an awkward sweater). My husband jumped in to rescue me and away I went! I quickly realized that this is not how adults or anyone who cleans should be cleaning. Maybe I am crazy but if I sweep my floors, I sweep the WHOLE floor. I don't want to push and play with it later. My kitchen, dining room, foyer, and formal living room were all tested and "swept" thoroughly. I went from wood floors to ceramic tile and in all I had the same result: No matter how much I went over the mess it will never get picked up! It will only get blown around and around...But when I went to my family room and bedrooms, Bissell did better. The trap actually had debris in it and I got to empty it! After a maddening 1 STAR first use, I put it away. Until about a week later I pulled it out and after a few passes it broke! What the heck, Bissell?! You guys were once good, right?? Thanks for a waste of a birthday gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the quick and easy use. Sometimes you just need a quick pick up in a small area and do not want to grab a vacuum. Sometimes the suction of a vacuum is hard on area rugs. This is perfect for those quick jobs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sweeper unit(not the handle) functions marvelously! I purchased the sweeper twice and a major weakness with the design is , namely, the handle design. I understand shipping is cheaper and easier with the handle in sections, but the use of thin aluminum, with threads on each end is a very, very weak and failure-prone design; aluminum is soft, hence the threads are soft and quickly strip or at least greatly weaken the joint. With two brand new units I am having to find ways to strengthen the joints so they remain together for a reasonable length of time, ideally for years.

As a pet owner, I purchased this for quick cleanups and it's a great product. Getting out the bulky vacuum every day is a huge pain so I do recommend this product. HOWEVER, my brother took the pins/springs out when he was cleaning it and now I can't figure out how to put them back in. The trap doors (or whatever you call them) won't stay shut and I can't seem to find any instructions on how to replace these things.
