this stove top is less than 4 months old, and not heavily used. The paint is already coming off in spots. The one burner dial got stuck and I had to use pliers to to turn it off. The front burner is erratic and will either cook on high or low non-dependent on what the dial is set to for that burner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have been using cooktop regularly and very happy with the performance of the stove. Easy clean up.
