I installed one of these a few years ago when we replaced the counter tops. We only had a 30 in cabinet to work with so we could not get a 5 or 6 burner cook top. This unit lights quickly but more importantly is easy to clean. I use a glass cook top cleaner designed for electric cook tops to keep a nice shine on the base. Everything else fits into the dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cook top looks great and is very easy to use. The blower is a little loud but not extremely so. The glass top is very easy to clean as are the removable grates.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was hard for us to find a glass cooktop we really liked but this one fit the bill. The white unit works beautifully with the rest of our white kitchen. Its very easy to take knobs, vent and grates off to clean the whole unit and the cleaning lotion GE provided works very well so will stock up on more of that. The only thing I marked off a tick was for the fan which is loud and doesn't seem to have that much pull downward. Otherwise a great unit.

Beautiful gas cooktop! We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After almost 10 years using an electric cooktop, we purchased this GE Downdraft Gas Cooktop as a Christmas gift to each other (my husband also loves to cook) We went with GE Profile to match our other GE appliances, and the black model looks very classy and shiny in our kitchen. We installed it ourselves and it works beautifully. The gas flame adjusts accurately, the grates stay in place very well, and it is easy to clean back to its original shine. Cooking is so much more fun now!

I rarely purchase anything site unseen. However, I decided to go for the cook top based on the reviews and other GE appliances I have used over the years. I am happy I made the choice. Our kitchen needed a white cook top and we were upgrading to natural gas from an electric downdraft. The install went well and the included installation instructions made it easy. We began using it immediately and I can say that I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase.

Superior cooktop

I love this cooktop!! Wish we had out it in years ago. Ingenious the way all components come apart easily so you can clean each and every surface! The down draft has more than just 'one' setting and works very effectively. There is nothing I would change about the design or workings. Very satisfied.
