Easy to Clean!

I bought this cooktop a week ago. I love it! It's very easy to clean. The downdraft is strong enough to pull the fumes when cooking but not the flames from the burners.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best cooktop on the market!

This is the center of out kitchen. When we built our new house, the builder offered Jenn-Air, we insisted on the GE Profile because we wanted our kitchen to be all GE Profile and this unit is much better than the Jenn-Air. We are not disappointed, it cooks perfectly, it's beautify to look at, cleans easily with the right product and most importantly, everything except the glass top loads into the dishwasher, it doesn't get easier than that......

9 Years and still great

Excellent cooking with one exception ..I can't get the lowest flame setting on the small back right burner low enough. Sometimes (when cooking rice for instance) you just want a slight heat. It can be a pain to clean. I normally throw everything in the dishwasher (including the screen for the downdraft) and clean the top with Cerama Bryte ... I enjoy seeing it sparkle and don't find it a chore. We use propane and it meets every expectation.

Smarty choice to replace an old gas cooktop

We were looking at many other brands but GE is the smartest choice.
The black glass top is classy, and does not get scratched like stainless steel.
The 3 speed downdraft fan is a big improvement over the one speed that I used to have.

Flame doesn't always start the first time. Paint has come off the small black ring around the burner. Top is very difficult to clean. I've had this unit for one month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First time with a gas cooktop...

This is my first experience with a gas cook top other than the "vintage" gas stove of my college apartment. I've loved using this one and find it easy to use and clean. It does take a little effort each day to keep it clean but it is worth it. The down draft vent seems to work ok but I miss having an overhead vent.

Great Replacement

Love the gas over the replaced electric. Only wish the downdraft vent was the same size. Needed to re-fabricate a little of the duct work.
