Great diversity of use

So far, we are happy with the product. Splashes and spills are hard to wipe up right away and require special cleaning, which I consider a drawback.

Cooking Great-Clean-up not so great!

I find the clean-up after cooking very tedious. I use Windex for general cleaning, and the white paste for any cooked -on spots. Spilled a few grains of sugar on a hot place, they are still there, glued to the stove. Some of the color actually came off while I was trying to clean this sugar. I do love the cooking, heating is fast.

This cooktop is extremely sensitive to cracking. I dropped a plastic cup on it and it shatterred at the edge and caused a huge crack. And the glass top (I have black) is extremely difficult to keep clean -- even with the specific cook top cleaners recommended. Plus the bottom right burner which is the larger one and used the most, seems to be very hot -- even on the lower/simmer settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this cooktop two months ago when we remodeled our kitchen, and every time I use it new marring appears on and under the surface. There is a cleaning product supplied with the cooktop, but it doesn't work on all the spots on the outer surface...and there is no way to get at the marks on the under side of the surface. It makes me feel like I don't want to use it, so it doesn't get worse and make my new kitchen look "used."

It is difficult to keep this clean. I use the polish, but everything takes so much more energy than my previous stove top.
