Easy to Install - Awesome to Cook With

This was an upgrade from an old coil cooktop and my wife and I did the install. It's already saved about $15 in electricity with heat better directed to the pans.Much lower settings are neede to cook and especially to boil water.Tip: Read the instructions regarding the left two burners - the controls are very useful but different. Great cooktop!

The fan works well, but the slightest splash of food on the plaque requires razor cleaning. The food cooks well.

Glass Stove Top

I have had this stove top for 5 years. Busted the glass top on year 3....still working great, accept the one burner. Needs continuous cleaning...which we use softscrub and a course sponge. The product provides great heat distribution, fast heat, and great exhaust fan. Would buy again, but a little apprehensive about it breaking again. I would use something to cover the product when not in use.

I bought the cooktop several months ago to replace an old GE cooktop. It looks great and works well. It is a little more difficult to keep clean than the older one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as my last GE cooktop

Downdraft has 3 levels, but still doesn't "pull" like my last GE downdraft. I didn't get the gas downdraft for that very reason. Reviews said it didn't pull strong enough. Also the "burners" seem to be very inconsistent. I have to turn one of them up to a higher number to get the right amount of heat while another burner will heat the same pan with the same food at a much lower number. My last GE cooktop had interchangeable griddle/grill/burners and was very consistent, even after 18 years! Sometime newer isn't better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
