Decent Machine

Seems to be operating just fine, I got it to be a quality desktop multi-function machine. Impressed by the speed, noise is a little load, but I just print in frequently. Scanning function is the key for me which this does just fine. Only minor complaint is the availability of ink. The local Fry's & Best Buy did not stock the cartridges, will shop at Amazon or other online store instead.
I would recommend this to a friend!

print quality is poor, it's like the first color printer I ever had. Fuzzy, not crisp. Wish I hadn't bought it. Other factors work well, however. Set up was easy, it's a nice desktop size. But we have printers to print, right

I like this printer it's much better that my old one. It prints when I need it too.The only thing that I didn't like was the women I spoke to from brother didnt speak very good English now normally that wouldn't have been a problem but I'm very hard of hearing and the two don't mix.so far that's my only problem.

Very Good General Purpose Printer

Have had this printer about 3 months and it has operated flawlessly. Setup was quick and easy. It is connected to a router via an Ethernet cable. I have printed over 100 pages of combined text and graphics, and about 25 4x6 photos. Text and photos have excellent color and are clear and sharp. Ink use appears to be very low with ink levels at about 75% with the starter cartridges.
Scans are sharp. Paper feeds with no jams. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Installation speed Bumps

Initial software installation issues were resolved after contacting Brother support, internet provider and computer manufacturer. Print quality is good, even the photos. Fax directions were somewhat unclear, but we were able to eventually send a fax.

Solid Printer

No problems. Setup to wireless network went smoothly. Color print quality in "normal mode" was somewhat washed out. Changed to "best quality" and the result is much better. Not sure what this will do to ink consumption since I'm still on the starter cartridges. Speed is acceptable at this setting.
