Needs some improvements

I was really excited on purchasing this product; however, after my first color print, I was having regrets. The color prints are not as vibrant as I had hoped them to be. Also, it makes a squeaky noise when it is warming up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just OK

It prints find but is rather noisy. I do not like the scanner at all. It does not scan to my email which is what I would prefer. It will only scan to documents, which means that I then have a two step process of attaching it to an email to send it to someone. Also it was very difficult to set up. I usually set up an HP in a few minutes but this printer would not download the disc that came with it and it took the help desk over an hour to get it working. It now will not scan wireless, although it did for a few weeks. It says it cannot find my computer and I have not had time to try and figure out the problem so am using my old printer for scanning. But it is printing wireless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's a KEEPER

One of the BEST printers I have owned. I love everything about this device. Te UI and the functionality is impeccable and I can't even compare this device to any other printers in the same category built by any other manufacturer. HP stands NUMBER 1 from the LAST, Brother stands NO 1 from the front :)

Finally can print large maps

I was not looking forward to setting up this printer--it seemed it was going to be complicated. But the documentation was good. There is no good documentation about the various paper trays and when the printer uses one over the other, which was confusing. But through trial and error I managed to print out some large maps, which were good quality. The printer is a little noisy and clunky, but I use the wireless option so it is in another room from my computer. I have only used up one starter printer cartridge so far, but it seems the cartridges will last longer than those in my old Epson printer. Pictures print out much darker than they appear on screen. I appreciate being able to do double sided copies without manually turning the paper around.

Really nice printer

I had bought another name brand printer and it must have been a lemon, though that is rare now days. Software appeared to be erratic. Never thought much of getting a Brother...some reviews were not stellar. I have had printers in my home for 30 years and this Brother is the best ever. Simple to use, quick and great colors...my prints look just as good as from a commercial shop. Would recommend to anyone.
