Very versatile, some glitches

This printer has so many useful features it takes a while to learn how to use all of them. I wish there was more labeling on the machine for the rarely used functions as I've had to get out the manual to see why its not working for me. I have run across a couple of problems. I use a Mac on OS X 10.11. Scans at 1200x1200 look OK on a thumbprint version but open in Preview as an all black page. Less dense scans work fine. I had hoped to use the MP tray for the occasional Tabloid size sheets, instead of changing the main Paper Tray from letter to tabloid. Unfortunately, the tabloid sheets (perhaps too light weight?) often either don't register as installed, jam or go through crooked when using the MP slot. The machine makes weird noises. The printing results are delightful...I sent a photo from my Android phone directly to the printer and it printed a quality 4x6 photo. Love the wireless & duplex capability.

Great Printer

Everything works as advertised. At times there is a short delay with the wireless connection. It had a problem initially with the wireless hookup, but it corrected and hooked up. I would recommend it to anyone.

Ease of operation and great features.

The Brother printer has many features and is easy to operate. I particularly like the ability to print from all my devices via the air-print feature. This saves time and effort.

I like everything about my Brother printer except for the cost of the ink cartridges and the fact that they cannot be purchased separately. Very annoying!

Amazing all in one printer

We looked at every copier/printer we could find, and this one had the best features for the best price. Once we started using it, we were happy to realize what a great printer this is and what great copies/prints it makes! We've had it for a couple of months now, and are very happy with this printer!

Good, but not great.

Good printer, heavy. The 11x17 paper multifeeds more than one page sometimes. It scans legal, but not ledger if I remember correctly. Prints excellent othe than Ledger mis feeds it is Good. I do like the 6920 much better.

The Brother MFCJ5520DW is one of the best printers I have, even better than the 2 Cannon printers in my home office. It does lack one thing though, I would like to be able to choose how I want to decrease or increase the size of anything instead of the preprogramed ones they give us.

The thing is as loud as a dinosaur. But it just keeps on working. I like how you can just forget to turn it on and then remember and it just works. this is a nice printer
