Fax function

You cannot use the automatic fax function unless your answer phone is attached to the machine. When you have them in different rooms, you must use the manual setting.
It was very difficult to figure that out without help from a technician. Otherwise, I believe this is a high quality machine.

We had a Canon PC1060 that we liked and when it was wore out we bought this one. Set up was very easy, I just stuck the disk in my computer & it loaded into my printer files and was ready to go. The 2 sided printing is neat. Does not come with USB cable. Need to order when you buy printer. Paper tray is flimsy.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Flimsy Construction

This product has been used in an office with moderately high ussage. The quality of the material seems to be lacking a little, but the quality of the copies has been good. We seem to be having difficulty with a sensor for the paper tray and/or the cartridge. We are having difficulty finding a resolution to this problem and have been unable to use the copier.

Confusing Software

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING THIS AS A NETWORK PRINTER ON MAC OSX MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE RIGHT DRIVER IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
(Otherwise it wont work) 1. install driver (MF4360-4390) 2. click>addprinter (the+symbol)>default>select Canon MF4360-90 (DOWN THE BOTTOM OF WINDOW SELECT "PRINT USING" UFRII instead of FAX) or it will operate as a printer (the computer will think its faxing when you want to print)
Pros: quick printing, easy paper, easy windows software
Cons: complicated mac software

OK, to be fair, the pros are: relatively fast, adequate print quality and small footprint. The cons are: Very flimsy construction, especially the paper tray area. It will NEVER pull in paper evenly from the optional feed area. When I print checks, the lines are usually diagonal across the page. Looks real professional. <sarcasm> Occasionally won't wake up to print, though I guess that fulfills it's energy saving feature. Dead=no energy use. All you need to do is slide it forward on your desk and reset the power switch. Bonus exercise! I wouldn't buy another printer from Canon if it were discounted 90%. The menu options are ridiculous. The only way it could be more obscure is if were in morse code. Funny that when the paper stop on the front on the unit is extended, it obscures the Canon logo. Planned? Probably
Pros: not many, adequate print speed
Cons: flimsy, menu obscure, pathetic paper handling

Very Good Printer

Spent time researching small networked office printers and wasn't dissapointed I chose the 4370dn. Great copies, fast, good scanning/copy feature and reasonably good on toner.
Setup was simple - and after 2 months it's been a little workhorse.
Some controls are less than intuitive - printing an odd size document - a single check for example - requires canceling the document after printing - a 4 step process. That's the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars on overall rating - a little harsh I know.
Haven't used the Fax - so I can't comment but if it works as well as the other features - it's a home run.
Prints envelopes easily, adequate paper tray and less noisy than most.
Pros: Easy Setup, makes very good copies, solid scanner/copy engine
Cons: printing an odd size document
