Replace my G7

one hugh problem , cannot process raws as I prefer to - via Photoshop , more importantly Lightroom.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, portable, good battery life, durable, nice design
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance

I can't even begin to start listing the great features this has, but i will try hehe, the built in modes for snow and beach are set to a tea, manual mode makes you feel like your using an slr as far as settings go, exposure compensation is great, and so is the light metering, the lcd is just nuts, the colors that pop out of that screen is incredible, put this baby on a tripod and take pictures of the moon if you dare, i did...

I read several reviews about cameras and even asked questions about what I was looking for. I chose the G10 based on what I heard. This is a Good quality camera. I love the quality and functions but the performance as far as indoor sport shots(volleyball) and the continuous shooting feature are in need of improvement.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Product

This is a great camera for anyone that wants a DSLR but does not want to pay for one. It does draw short of a true DSLR, but has almost the same capabilties. You can't change the lens, manual focus is in a rough form and does not have HD video mode like the G9. I use it for racing, diving and even special shots like a DSLR. Once you learn all the different modes this will surely meet your expectations, unless you really need a DSLR. I previously had a G9 which had the 720p video that is now gone on the G10. This I miss the most. Don't understand why they did this. Also the Dive case does not allow for the rotary dial on the select nobe to be used. Overall this a great camera.
Pros: many featatures and flexabilty., great pictures, good software for general use, good battery life
Cons: no hd video for any mode

We use digital cameras for technical documentation of various lab tests, and field documentation.
Our preliminary tests indicate that that the performance of the G10 under lab, and adverse field conditions is substantially better than some of our more expensive digital SLRs with interchangeable lenses.

Missing high definition movie, at low light w/flash pictures has a circle spots. Should have a wrist strap too.

I bought the G10 as soon as the store put them on the shelf, and I have never been disappointed by my purchase. I love this camera, almost like a digital SLR but smaller.

excellent small camera

While I would have preferred better noise performance in low light (even at the cost of a few MPixels) this is probably the most capable camera I've seen short of a DSLR. Since I like to carry my camera on long hikes I prefer something relatively small and this is the best camera that fits MY definition of easily carried.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, Poor Low-Light Performance
