From my experience and significant study of others' reviews it appears that this battery's longevity can vary immensely depending on use and care. Note that this is a lithium-ion battery and should be used very,very differently from a nickel-cadmium battery. I have some little concern because my HP Pavilion laptop still seems to be running somewhat warm. I hope I did no damage by mis-using the discarded battery in its old age. Emphasized guidelines for ideal use and care important for this particular battery could save a lot of difficulty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i have the HP dv9000 the battery is come with the computer but just only a year it say the battery condition is weak so it make me buy a new one =(

Rip off battery

I was dumb enough to pay extra for this thing when I purchased the PC. The PC works fine and is now notifying me that the battery is not good. Disappointing considering that the PC has run off AC for 99.9% of its life. Don't know if it is the battery itself, the cycling of the battery done automatically or something else that has killed it. Bottom line; a huge waste of money. Next time it'll be the cheapest after market battery I can find, it can't possibly perform worse than this thing. Also, have a friend with same PC and AC usage pattern who had a back light failure recently. Don't understand how the two could be related, but have pulled the battery from the PC -- just in case...

Poor quality Laptop Battery

I bought my laptop a little over a year ago now, but the battery stopped working within 8 months of purchase, but the computer didn't run the diagnostic till after the warranty ran out. The computer is a good machine, but I use the computer for school and need more than 5 min of battery life and being a college student I don't have the money to buy a new battery every year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this thing does not charge anymore. it barely gets above 35% charged and it lasts about two minutes without the adapter, its barely been a year...

It is an excellent computer, but the battery does not stay charge for long. Must keep it charged at all times. The screen is a widescreen which help me a lot. Love the keyboard easy to the touch not like those big key on desk top. Have had my laptop for a year and still learing the different function of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
