I have had this printer about 4 months now and I am extremely well pleased with it. The print is sharp and clear and the pictures are great. I was a professional photographer for several years, now retired, and the only complaint I can make about the photo quality is that on occassion you make need to increase the color saturation on the prints, which is easily done. This is a great little printer. You can replace each ink cartridge as needed and it uses all the ink so that none is wasted. Also, that the ink is archival quality so that your pictures will not fade in the next fifty years is a big selling point with me. Give them proper protection and they should be good for 100 years, only a few printers are using this quality ink at present. It is a little slow in printing, but the quality is great. I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone needing a good printer.

VERY NICE --EASY WIRELESS INSTALL-THE ACCESS KEY IS WRITTEN ON YOUR ROUTER IF YOU HAVE ONE---EASY DIRECTIONS --SOME ROUTERS DO NOT HAVE A KEY--PRINT FROM PC, CAMERA, OR CARD--SCAN TO CARD---OR COMPUTER--THIS IS MY FIRST WIRELESS AND IT IS SWEET SO FAR. VERY HEAVY DUTY AND NICE LOOKING--HOOK UP USB CABLE ONLY FOR SETUP THEN REMOVE USB CABLE AND MOVE WHERE YOU WANT ITAND PLUG IN POWER CORD--SEPERATE TRAY FOR PHOTO PAPER IS GREAT.
Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: needs larger ink tanks

MP 620

It connected to wireless system the first try. The reason I gave it such a poor rating is the the print quality is quite poor compared to my MP600. It was so bad that I instantly took it back and told the person that wanted to buy my MP600 that it was not for sale anymore. I am extremely happy with my MP600 and was only considering the MP620 because I could connect my laptop to it wirelessly. The only reason I could tell that would explain such poor printing performance is that the MP620 has around 3500 printheads and my MP600 has around 4500-5000 printheads. The scanning ability was also at a lower resulotions on the MP620 the my MP600. I just wish Canon would have made the same printer and just added a wireless feature instead of going cheap on the new MP620. Would I recommend, the answer is a firm no.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: Dull Tones & Colors, poor print quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I needed to upgrade my printer and have been leery of All-in-One units in the past, I was looking at photo printers. After reviewing specs and noticing the MP620 had the same and I could use a new scanner also. I purchased the MP620 and setup was easy with USB connection. I have no need to for the network, wireless or Bluetooth connections, at least for now. The photo prints are awesome! I use Canon's Photo Glossy Plus II and can not find a flaw in the prints. Text prints are fast once the printer warms up. The only cons I can say on the MP620 is that the rear paper feeder (photo paper) is flimsy and slides out of it's attachment groove too easily. I just leave that feeder door open when not in use to avoid problems. (When closed its flush with the body of the printer, and when pulled up to open, the whole tray comes off). Also to note that the memory card reader built in the MP620 is slower to transfer large files when compared to a stand alone card reader.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, great photo prints, very quiet printing

This is my 3rd canon printer. Previous have been mainly photo printer focused but was tired of all the machines (scanner/printer) on my desk. Wanted something that worked well in all fields. Also wanted a wireless feature so I can print right from laptop and not have to hassle with printing from my home system. For the price you get great bang for your buck. My only issue with with ink usage. I have 2 black and only one runs out (I don't do much photo printing anymore) It does last a fairly long time so not that big of an issue. This is much faster than my privious canon printers so that is nice. It's fairly easy to use also. Plus you have many print options even right from the onboard screen. Highly recommended for a home system.
Pros: Compact Design, easy to use, fast print speed
I would recommend this to a friend!
