Very good product

This is a great bang-for-your-buck printer. Comparing to my older Canon i450, the photo print quality is not that much superior but the printing speed is considerably quicker on the MP620. Canon seems to have been making great quality prints for several years so there is little noticeable print quality increase from earlier models. Scanning quality is outstanding as well and the text prints come-out as nice as laser.
The only problem I have is the quasi line-of-sight range of the wireless feature. Though both my laptops get a "good" to "very good" reception of my Wi-Fi router, the MP620 cannot detect it! I had to move it into the same room to get it to work.
Also slightly disappointing is the lack of improvement in the bundled photo printing software. For example, it took me a few minutes to find how to remove a photo from the list I selected to print. I finally found a tiny icon at the bottom of one of the pages to do so. The other way is to go back to the album you took it from and simply deduct a print but when you work with more than 3 albums, this can be tedious... It's best to get a proper editor if you want to suitably edit the picture.
Overall, this is a great buy and the sub-par wireless range is a non-issue if there are no obstructions between your device and your router.
Pros: fast printing speed, high-quality photos text and scans, multiple feed trays, great price for all the features
Cons: sub-par wireless range, ez photo print software could use a redesign

This printer is much, much faster than my old Pixma iP4000.
Had everything in the box, even a USB cord!
The scan speed is great.
The two trays for paper.\ is handy.
I don't think you can go wrong with it!
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed
I would recommend this to a friend!

my old printer just quit working, so I had to have a new one. my old one was a canon1500, I really loved it and I could not find another one like it, so I had to have a new one. I wanted another Canon but I was afraid the quality
would not be as good as my old one...boy was I wrong!
This one is great !!! I have only used it a few times so far
but the color is unbelieveable, (I have the copyright on some studio pictures) made copies that looked as good as the original. I would recommend this printer to anyone.
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

this is a great multi-function printer BUT the ink doesn't last........I have had this since Jan 09 and I am now ordering my 4th ink and I haven't printed many pictures.
If you run out of the colors the black won't print
Cons: High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did enjoy all of the features on this printer. When it worked, the copy, direct photo memory card, and scanner options rescued me during graduate school tribulations. However, after 1 year and 9 months, it completely broke.
Another problem is that the ink runs out quickly. You can't even get a cartridge refill either - you have to buy a whole new plastic container (ie, not very environmentally friendly). In the end it's a lot of investment. It's worth getting a laser printer instead- at least the ink lasts sometime and worth the amount of printing you get out of it.
The paper feed is also a disadvantage as it can't hold too much paper.
Last, it takes forever to start printing. The preparation time plus the time it takes to print takes is at least 6 mins for any one document - forget it if you need to print multiple documents. Also, the start-up time to turn it on also takes at least 5 minutes.
All in all, the features were good. That's what appealed to me when I bought it. However, the slow print & start time, plus the fact that it completely broke with a "hardware error" after only one year and 9 months makes this a very frustrating experience. It's not worth the money for the headache this printer will give you.
As a side note, the customer service person was incredibly helpful. She led me through the whole process to figure out that there is a hardware issue. It's not worth it to repair when you look into it (which I have). Way above my reservation price. Plus, I want a reliable printer - which this one clearly is not.
Pros: features
Cons: printer lifetime, start up time, prep and print time, must refill ink frequently
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best printer so far

I used to have a canon i960 printer that I thought was a great printer and thru the canon loyalty program I was introduced to the Pixma MP620. I thought for the money that I was going to spend for this new unit I figured all I wanted to do was print invoices and receipts so whats the difference if it doesn't print all that well. Boy was I surprised when I started to use the MP620. I do a lot of autocad work and I always had trouble getting seperation between the lines because they are so close together. The MP620 seperates the lines like never before and delivers a clear sharp print. So I thought I would try to print some pictures that I had taken, before and after pic's and did they turn out fantastic. The life like colors the sharp clear lines I was really impressed.
Pros: Compact Design, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
I would recommend this to a friend!

I first bought a cheaper other brand of wireless printer which wasn't even a all in one, and i had nothing but trouble trying to install that printer.I got tired of trying and after crashing my computer, i took it back, and bought this canon all in one which installed with such ease. It works great and prints beautiful pics. and now i finally have my first wireless printer on my network which works great with my wireless laptop.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Sharp Tones & Colors
