Really surprised that it doesn't have auto power on and off, especially if it's energy star compliant. My old Canon S500 had this feature. Ink tanks are smaller too. Otherwise its a capable printer.

Cool machine. The only gripe I have is that the setup instructions aren't the easiest to follow, especially for the LAN setup.
Pros: Compact Design
Cons: Difficult Setup

Unclear instructions

Printer indicated that it needed black ink.t Athe back of the manual- first item was black ink # 221 so I bought it. When I opened up the printer I noticed that the flashing light indicated 220 so I had to return to the store. There should be a specific section in the manual titled Changing ink cartridges

A mix of good and bad

This printer is very hard to get to work with Linux. Canon has not made this printer very compatible with Linux. I have over 20 years in the IT field. The printer will print but not clearly.
Windows install was easy enough using the included usb cable.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, no linux support

Seems like there is a low ink warning every time I start to print. I don't print very much and have never printed photos. I've had the 620 for about a year and I would certainally return it if I could.
Cons: High Ink Consumption

I hate this printer

There are 2 black ink tanks, but if the main one is empty you can't print from the other. Also, the lid does not lift high enough to see inside when you replace the ink tanks. Photo prints look like they were made on a computer from the 90s. Don't expect this printer to actually make a print that looks like a photograph. The scanner pointlessly creates a huge file, but the scan itself is so sharpened and contrasty that you would never want to print it at the full size. The image looks too unnatural.
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, Difficult Setup, Difficult to use, High Ink Consumption, unreliable, Dull Tones & Colors, "photo" prints do not look like photographs, scanner does not make a usable scan of an image

Seems to have problems with photos on normal paper

I was initially thrilled with the photo-quality prints of this printer. Then when it came time to print out my resume, the photo that I placed in the header was smudged. Not just once, of course, but for all 10 that I printed out after having confirmed that the first print-out was fine. Since that time, I still have this problem. I would not really recommend an all-in-one. Seems this is just too complicated for printer companies.

No duplex???

I bought this printer to upgrade an MP600. Obviously I was pleased with the MP600 printer (with bluetooth add-on), and took advantage of an Apple rebate to "upgrade" to the MP620. While this printer is a minor upgrade of the MP600 for most features, the lack of duplex printing makes this a significant downgrade.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable
Cons: no duplex
