unfortunate design

as much as I like canon printers (this is my 3rd) I am truly disappointed in the wireless capabilities. To not support the most recent (WPA & WPA2), but yet well established, security protocols is very poor design in my opinion.
Pros: reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Difficult to use, old wireless protocols
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not quite as good as MP610

MP620 is Not an improvement over MP610.
1. Smaller amount of ink in tanks
2. Lost 1 feature that was on MP610 - Paper Feed Switch. This needs to be accessed on your computer, not the the printer itself. I would have purchased MP610, but it was no longer available.
Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: High Ink Consumption
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have not had a chance to use all the features, it was a little confuse to set up and it has produced beautiful, full color wireless printouts. The only con so far is that I wish it were smaller & respond to command a little bit faster ( Wireless ). For the money, it's a great value.
Pros: durable, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Large Footprint
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this printer because of all the positive reports on this site. It was not easy to set this up on a wireless network. I had to reinstall the software twice to get it to work. Very disappointing. I'm also not thrilled with the quality of the prints. I expected more from Canon.

I bought this a few months ago. Overall the quality and speed of the print product is excellent. I have not done photos on the machine so I can't give my impressions on it's photo output.
Pros: Fast output, good to excellent color reproduction of printed media. Ink systems are relatively inexpensive compared to other manufactures. The Canon Solution Center software is a great tool for any user to initiate any type of job with this machine.
I would have given the printer a 5 star rating but for the software setup included on the CD. As a very experienced Mac OSX user I found the installation directions very confusing. The setup guidebook needs to be improved, and the final configuration for WIFI operation didn't work correctly after going through the install CD a dozen times. I finally had to run the Mac Console App to find out what the problem was. There are two Canon apps installed during the WIFI CD installation that conflict with the function of the WIFI operation. The fix is simple but the Canon documentation isn't helpful in fixing this problem, the average user is going to become very frustrated with installing the wireless LAN.
If you are using a hard USB connection there are no problems, but getting the printer set up correctly on a wireless LAN system for OSX can be challenging. Canon needs to work on an OSX only app for installation. Overall very happy with this product!
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Difficult Setup
I would recommend this to a friend!
