I think this is a great printer, but I was looking for a printer that was truly wireless. This printer has to be plugged into a wireless hub to make that happen. I was trying to get away from that since hub is upstairs and my laptop is downstairs. Now I'll still have to run upstairs if I want to use the wireless hookup capability. This was not what I had invisioned.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: ink installation wasn't real clear.

I BOUGHT A NEW LAPTOP ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO AND MY EXISTING PRINTER HAD NO UPGRADE FOR VISTA.AFTER RESEARCHING PRINTERS AND READING ABOUT 100 REVIEWS , I BOUGHT THE MP620. THE ONLY CONS I READ ABOUT WERE SLOW PRINT SPEED BUT I HAVE NOT FOUND THAT TO BE THE CASE. THIS THING IS FAST COMPARED TO MY PREVIOUS UNIT. I EXPERIENCED SOME TROUBLE TRYING TO SET UP MY ROUTER AS I DIDN'T HAVE MY NETWORK KEY BUT A VERY PLEASANT AND QUICK CALL TO DON AT CUSTOMER SERVICE HAD ME RUNNING IN NO TIME. I HAVE TO ADD THIS IS THE BEST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. MY REP WAS FAST AND FRIENDLY. SO FAR GREAT EXPERIENCE AND GREAT PICS!
Pros: fast print speed, Sharp Tones & Colors

I purchased this printer so that I could run it from my wi fi router. It took quite a lot of finagling (two days at the computer) to get it connected through the router but finally, it is working just the way I wanted. The instruction book does explain the process, but it is a very complicated procedure with several variations depending on the equipment and method of connection you are using. I tried to use the built in wi fi connection between the printer and the router but I couldn't get it to work with the router's key code so I connected the printer to the router with an Ethernet cable. The printer, copier and scanner are working with my three computers very well.
Pros: Compact Design, easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Difficult Setup

Ink Hog

After having a Canon BJC3400 for 6 years I was a Canon booster. Now, after using this printer for only 3 months I have quit using it since the cost if ink consumption is more than I can tolerate. I've had to restart printing too often due to "low ink warnings. How does the color ink go down while printing only black?? " The on screen manual is too difficult to follow so I have quit trying it.
Pros: add a pro

way too hard to configure for wired and wireless

Impossible to set up with a normal WiFi network, and the printer won't even obtain a DHCP address on my network.
Networking is shoddy at best with this printer, so plan on USB only. The lack of manual networking setup on the printer itself leaves me questioning the basic common sense of the designers.
Too bad this great piece of hardware is ruined by bad software.
Cons: bad networking
