I use the 620 in my one ton 4x4 pickup on pipe line right of ways all over the country. I can take care of all my tasks from my pickup and not stay up to all hours in the motel scanning, printing and praying thing works. I run it off a converter the same way I do the laptop. It's a tough machine that has a tough life in a tough place.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, looks good too!
I would recommend this to a friend!

scanned a 37yr old wallet photo,removed border,auto enhance(canon software)print4x6.on plus glossyII paper using vived setting..everyone asked where i had it done(thought it was done professionally-Maui sunset) great so far!!remove paper jam from cassette area is awkward,printer needs to be propped up.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Too much ink consumption

This printer is terrific EXCEPT for the ink. The ink is much more expensive than other comparable printers and I feel like it runs out extremely frequently. I don't do any sort of heavy-duty printing so it's frustrating for me to have to buy a new print cartridge monthly. Also if one black ink tank is low the other doesn't print properly either. Replacing ink tanks is also a challenge. Manual not written very well and is especially confusing to install initially.
Pros: reliable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Difficult Setup, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

eats ink, poor alignment

I purchased this printer hoping that I could cut back on ink replacement but that did not happen. The printer will not work when one of the color cartridges is empty even set on black ink only. In addition, the alignment is off. The alignment test is too complicated and continues to eat all the ink. I've only had this printer for a year and got maybe 5 uses out of it.
Cons: constant ink replacement, poor alignment
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just purchased the printer and it works well with minor issues of installing on Vista 64-bit network.
What prevented a 5-star rating is the fact that Canon does not have the "Turn printer on automatically" feature when anyone connected to the printer starts a print job.
Image this - 3-story house, computers on all floors!! Yes you have to walk up 2 floors to turn the printer ON. I know it's good for health - but not good for productivity.
I hope they incorporate this into a driver update - seriously
Otherwise - great scans, copier and printer.
BTW, my old i850 had the printer On feature when anyone hit the print function!
Pros: Compact Design, durable, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, auto printer on feature

Needed a new printer and did some research online, Canon received good reviews and now I see why. I am very happy with this product. I have had it for about 2 months, works great. Wireless with my laptop, and with my desktop. Scans great with both too. Fast, quite, and very nice prints. Was fairly easy to set up also. Nice size, does not take up a lot of space. Love the door that opens when you print. You will not be disappointed with this printer.

I'm a little disappointed in the size of the ink tanks. Other Canon printers I've owned had much more ink for the same price per tank.
Other than that it's great all in one and does exactly what I'd expected from Canon.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption
