Having problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought it a little over 2 years ago. Having freezer problems. Always have to defrost manually. Freezer froze up caused the fridge part not to work. After the second time of some one coming to fix it. It is caused by the ice maker to close to freezing unit causing it to starting freezing coils the all the rest of the unit. Spent half our money fixing the fridge. Working now but I know will have to fix it again in the future. Maybe another brand next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice shelves and Quiet

Ice Maker not working on Model FFTR1821QB9B

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice Maker model IM116000 worked great then just stopped. Replaced the water solenoid, it worked two makings then quit. Went to remove the ice maker and bottom of ice maker very hot. Could not get the plug out of the back of freezer for ice maker, does it just pull out or is there something I am missing

I would not recommend this product! Less than three years old and the Freon charge is gone. It would cost more to fix the refrigerator than to replace it! LESS THAN THREE YEARS!

Clean, functional family size fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge a week ago; relatively quiet and does the job of cooling food, beverages, etc. I like it. Accessible, open design; quick and easy to use. Though this fridge was bought used, it looks almost new. While I did not see a defrosting not required as there are 2 humidity controls, it lools low maintenance.

Unstable shelves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator 2 1/2 years ago and have had problems with the top 2 shelves since day 1. Found out that those 2 shelves will not handle any kind of weight, i.e. 12 pack of pop. The shelves are not quite wide enough or not sturdy enough, probably both. I found out the hard way. I loaded a 12 pack of pop on the middle shelf and it came crashing down. Upon examining the shelf, you can see that it flexes with any weight and then slides off the side bracket. I called customer service and they said not to put more than 5 lbs on a shelf. I guess I won't be buying a ham or anything like that. If I would have known that when we were looking at it, we would have looked at a different model. Everything else is good but very disappointed with the shelves.
