very basic and loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Realizing that this item is the most basic model, nevertheless it does not perform well. It runs an excessive amount of time and the motor is loud. The handle on the base broke/cracked w/in 4 months on light use (no kids)... The veggie drawers are truncated at back to allow for in-cabinet refrigeration design and so are deceptively small. The door shelves are oddly rounded so that many bottles do not stand very well. The freezer unit is very good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice economical, no frills little refrigerator. So far, everything works as it should. Shelves and door are well designed. But be warned. It is a bit noisy. It whines, hums and make sounds like bouncing ping pong balls. After doing some searching on the Internet, it seems that most new refrigerators make these noises because of the new design of compressors and refrigerant. It isn't too irritating, but a buyer should understand this prior to purchase.
