Great unit for a great price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had one of these units provided to us as a replacement with a home purchase, and it really is a great unit. We had a similar unit in our old place for years without issue, and this unit was actually a step up from what we had (glass shelves instead of wire racks). The only thing I've noticed, is that the freezer fluctuates depending on where you place items inside. Ice cream stays softer when it's kept closer to the front, but more solid when kept in the back. I guess that could go with any model out there really. I've also noticed that same issue with other softer items left towards the front like dinner rolls, etc. However, there might be a reason is colder towards the back... this unit comes setup for an ice maker hookup/accessory if you buy the ice maker separately. We are eagerly anticipating the purchase of the ice maker attachment, and trying it out. One other thing that I wasn't a fan of, was that when I turned the door handles around, we noticed that inside the fridge there was no feasible way to move the deli crisper over to the other side of the shelf because the brackets are built into the shelf itself, and are not multi-directional. Other than the small stuff, I am very impressed with this model and very happy with it! Aesthetically, it is a very nice unit and is also a nice size as well!

I'm sorry but not that impresed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is exceptionally noisy,plus making strange noises, and my freezer gasket won't seal. The one in the store had none of the issues above. I expect mine to quit working as soon as the warranty is up, hopefully sooner when it does fail.

Handle Broke!

My 84-year old mother needed a new refrigerator. I realized I wasn't buying top of the line, but come on! The handle snapped off. I have never heard of such a thing happening, ever! My husband is trying to epoxy it back together but it's cheap plastic and will probably break again. My old Whirlpool has a strong metal attachment. I am very disappointed and now have to shop online to find a replacement handle for when it breaks again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
