Forever Frigidaire!

My latest purchase was to replace a 30 year old Frigidaire refrigerator in my garage which held beverages and freezer overflow. After searching numerous websites, I finally found the refrigerator without "bells and whistles", ice maker, water dispenser, etc. Although I have only purchased it at the end of December, I have experienced no problems. I'm unsure of the reviews which mention that the temperature must be raised to max to ensure the freezer food does not thaw when temperatures fall below 50 degrees, as I have not experienced this aspect. I would recommend this style refrigerator (FFTR1821QB - top freezer) for anyone looking for a standard appliance without all the "bells and whistles".

Love the black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having a new black refrigerator after 40 years with a harvest gold. However, it is noisier than my old one with rattles and clicking noises when it first comes on.

Hey Emiliep, I understand that you are concerned about the rattling/clicking sounds that your refrigerator is making. This is caused by the electronic defrost control (timer) starting up to turn on your refrigerator and is considered normal sounds. You may also want to make sure that your refrigerator is moved slightly away from walls or cabinets and that the leveling legs are adjusted evenly to prevent rattling. I hope this helps! Good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this model in November of 2016 and feel it is a good value for the money. The fridge section is nice and cold at the normal setting and the frozen section keeps the frozen veggies solid but the ice cream does not get as hard as we would like. The freezer section does not have a light in it which we miss from our previous refrigerator but it is workable. All in all we would probably get this model again.
