Can't reverse the doors.

Just purchased this to replace a unit that failed. Tried to reverse the door orientation and it did not work. When the door is reversed the there is a quarter inch (approx) between the rubber gasket on the top of the refrigerator door and the face of the unit.

Welcome to the extended Frigidaire family, engineer 627. I am sorry to hear of your frustration with reversing the swing of your refrigerator door. We do recommend that the reversal of the door swing should be performed by a technician, but let me see if I can help! Start off by massaging the gasket to make sure it is seated correctly in the channel all around the door. If the gasket is seated correctly and the condition still exists, try heating the gasket with a hair dryer with the door closed. Use extreme caution and be careful not to damage the interior door panel or gasket by applying too much heat. If the open seal condition still exists, it may be necessary to flip the gasket. In this case, remove the gasket from the door by pulling it out of the retaining channel. Rotate the gasket half a turn (180 degrees). Reinstall the gasket by inserting the corners first, then work towards the middle assuring that it is fully seated in the channel. You did it! Easy viewing of food products

Not worth it

Apparently you can't mention competitor's. I've had this fridge one year. Cheaply made. I've replaced the handles twice. One screw holds them in. Spend a little more and get something decent.
