Dirty gaskets can sometimes stick to the refrigerator and pull out of the retaining channel when the refrigerator door is opened. If the gasket is pulling out of channel, clean the gasket with a wet soapy cloth, then rinse and dry. Feed the gasket back into the retaining channel, ensuring that the gasket is secure all around the door. If the gasket is fully seated in the retaining channel, but still does not seal completely, use a hair dryer to heat the gasket while the door is closed. Use caution, be careful not to damage the interior door panel or gasket by applying too much heat too close. If open gasket seal persists, flip the gasket 180 degrees. Completely remove the gasket from the retaining channel around the door edge. Rotate the gasket half a turn (180 degrees). Reinstall the gasket by inserting the corners into the retaining channel.
