Always problems

This has been an expensive problem for me. Ever since I bought this it has draining issues and dripping water. I have had numerous repair men look at it and then one problem becomes another. Please do not invest money in this washer.

Do not buy this machine
on December 7, 2019

This machine has caused me unbelievable stress. First off, I got this with my brand new condo so the machine was never used. It is 3 years old. I am single and do very minimal laundry (once every 2 weeks at the most). It gave me an F-06 error which is a motor malfunction. Either the brushes need replacement or the motor itself needs to be replaced. It’ll cost me as much as a new unit to replace the motor with the labor costs!! If it’s just the brushes then it’ll be half the cost of a new unit. Either way, it’s ridiculous for a very seldom utilized washer that I got new. Might I add that I’ve traveled for months at a time so there were many months out of 3 years that it wasn’t used at all. I’ve never overloaded it and kept the door open to prevent mold.

True pile of garbage
on December 17, 2019

I've had this less than 2 years. I've had so many issues I don't know where to start with them. I'm single live alone and don't do much laundry. It's broken more than it works. I'm taking it to the garbage dump and will never buy from this manufacturer again

Washer won't start -- AGAIN
on January 17, 2020

I bought this washer a couple of years ago to replace one exactly like it. A power surge during a hurricane fried the old unit's control frame. We have a very narrow door frame in the laundry room of my rental property, and have to take the door frame off to even get this compact unit in. From the first day it was installed it would sometimes refuse to start (yes, I follow the directions exactly). Have called my appliance repairman 7 times in 2 years -- 3 times while it was still under warranty, and it was always a door latch issue. Now I am sitting here waiting for repair appointment number 8. I wish I had just gone ahead and replaced the stacking washer and dryer with a completely different system.

Stand behind your product whirlpool!

As countless others have noted this washer works for a few years then you get a F06 code meaning you have to spend more then the washer is worth to replace the motor. I’ve
had a technician confirm this. There’s a obvious defect with this model and whirlpool should stand behind there product and fix it. I’ve bought several whirlpool products over the years but after seeing the quality and lack of concern to make this right. This will be the last. Do you not care that people trust your name enough to purchase your product and now your knowing letting loyal customer pay the price for your faulty washer? Please step up and make it right. Signed, former loyal customer.

Failure in 4 years both washer and dryer
on March 10, 2020

I bought this for the size and whirlpool name. I have had service during warranty period and now after 5 years both the washer and dryer are failing. The appliance repair person said he will not work on them because they are difficult and other things go wrong. The problem is electronic and it needs an expensive part. How strange that both washer and dryer would fail at same time with same issue. A friend of mine in same neighborhood bought same washer and dryer and hers was only 3.5 years old and the cost to repair was so high that she chose to buy a new washer. This is unacceptable and whirlpool is selling sub par product to customers who are not aware. so now you are aware stay away from these faulty washers and driers. They are also pricey!!!

Doesn’t spin water from washing
on March 31, 2020

I have the same issue as several reviewers below. The washer doesn’t spin the water from the load (which is very small). We’ve had a repairman out twice. Still has the issue. Once in a while it will spin properly but most loads have to be hand wrung. Will never purchase a whirlpool again. The washer is only 4 years old and I’m tired of wringing and paying a repairman.

Worked great for 3 years

Washer worked flawlessly for first 3 years. Now I am having an issue with the spin cycle. If you allow the washer to sit for a couple days, then 1st couple loads will spin, but after that it stops. Ran the diagnostics and it is throwing an F25 code. Not sure why it would work for a couple loads and then stop.
