Only one bad thing. Water collects on gasket at door. When you unload the clothes they get drug through the water that has collected then instead of draining off into lower portion of the gasket.

Basic Washer

I bought this to replace the prior Whirlpool model to this washer which is no longer available. The prior model I had stopped working and no repair person was able to figure out the problem so I decided to replace it. This washer is apartment sized and fit perfectly with the existing dryer - which was the reason why I purchased it. It's very basic, slightly better than the prior model. One thing though - I feel like my clothes aren't getting clean, such as more soiled items like gym clothes. Perhaps this is a thing with HE washers, it uses less water, so perhaps the clothes aren't getting as clean. With higher-end HE machines you probably won't encounter this problem. I would recommend spending more money and getting a better model if you can.

I live in an apartment that luckily has a space for a washer and dryer. After much research into what was the right washer & dryer choice for me I choose Whirlpool. I love my washer! Perfect for me and my lifestyle. Quiet and a breeze to operate!

Great for small spaces but...

Washer seemed great when we first got it. As we started using it there were things that didn't really make any sense. The start button needs to be held down for 10+ seconds for the washer to start. There has been times when the washer appears to have started (lights flash indicating start of cycle) but come back to an unwashed load. A light indicates when cycle is done but you have to turn the knob to the off position. Washer is pretty quiet except for the spin cycle which can be heard over the tv 40 feet away, three rooms over. Purchased with the accompanying dryer but they dont look good together side by side.

This washing machine cleans very well and has an adequate number features for our use. Only negative aspect is that the machine does not automatically power down when finished.

Garbage

Have this washer in one of my leased apartments and I am getting constant complaints about it. Either the spin cycle is weak or the certain cycles won't turn on. It leaves waves clothes saturated, even when I put in just a load of socks. I had service technician out and they basically told me it might be a motor control board. I'm not taking that ride. Will not purchase another Whirlpool.
