Best of all brands for it's size

I purchased this front load washer,as it was the only brand available that would fit my replacement space,but was much smaller than my prior washer,but performs like a champ.

Fix the problems and it wouldn't be so bad

I live an apartment complex and this is the system that comes with my space. Prior I owned a top loader whirlpool that did the job and was pretty quiet but sold due to moving into a place that supplied their own. At first I didn't mind. The washer was smaller than my top loader and it being only me is a really nice size. However right off I did need the maintenance to come out due to mold on the rubber. For the first year that was the only major issue. Once or twice it would error on a clean cycle but if I reset it it was fine.Now however I'm hoping the whole complex will leave them on the lawn of the whirlpool office, every last one of the 500 they have. My original washer broke recently due to a motor. The office replaced the first washer and The new one broke after one cycle full of water and all my clothes. Whirlpool was called multiple times and after a week still didn't send someone. I was able to use another brand new washer in another apartment and same thing happened after one load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst washing machine I've ever used

Within a couple months I began having issues. My biggest problem is the odor that comes from the machine and transfers onto my clothes. I have tried every single washing machine cleaner there is. I have followed manual instructions by washing the bellow with a bleach mixture, the door is constantly open to allow it to dry. I only use HE laundry soap. I have tried, daily, for weeks to get rid of the smell and nothing works. When speaking to the Whirlpool customer service team, they just keep telling me to wash the bellow with bleach. Extremely dissatisfied. My clothes never smell clean.

Product is externally flimsy. Door is not very substantial. Controls offer little flexibility in controlling how and what cycles are run. If you wish to add something to a load it takes a couple of minutes for the machine to allow you to open the door. Sometimes you have yo start the cycle from the beginning. On one occasion the washer stopped completely and displayed an error code. Unfortunately there are no error codes listed in the instruction manual. In general if I had it yo do over again I would not buy this product. The same can be said for its companion electric dryer.

I chose the separate washer/dryer over the combo unit I had in my last RV.The Whirlpool has superior features & simply does the job better & quicker.

This is the second compact Whirlpool washer and dryer we have purchased. It is the perfect size for our application and almost half the price of the nearest competitor's washer we could find.

Terrible start button

I have used old machines and new machines. I have never seen a machine that doesn't start when you initiate the start button/dial. Unfortunately this machine's start button has been giving me trouble from day one, when it was brand new in 2012. Today, I have been trying to start the machine for 5 hours and still nothing. I have even turned off the electric breaker twice, as the Whirlpool customer service recommended. The machine washes fine when it actually starts; unfortunately if you have plans to have clean clothes in an appropriate amount of time, do not count on this machine. Today I'll be going to the laundromat across the street or washing my clothes in the bathtub.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
