So far so good. I received the package after 3 delivery delays from the shipping company. will be opening the box and set it up to check that it works as per manufactures directions soon. This was going to be an emergency backup cool unit for downstairs since HVAC went on vacation right when a heat wave came. 5 day's with no AC and a very miserable son and dog is no fun. Thank god for cold shower's and frosty paws and ice water for the dog. Not sure if this will fit on 15 amp circuit but will run it off a 10 gage extension cord to kitchen 20 amp socket. Hopefully its not a 240 unit other wise i am up creek without a paddle.as i forgot to check for that when purchasing it. Newair did their job well and my hats off to them. It was a hot 60th birthday for my wife and hot Fathers day for me.

I used my Newair AC/Heat unit at my Mom's house when her HVAC unit went out. The unit heated and cooled her large living and dining area quickly. Several parts to the unit were lost in transit when we sold her house. An excellent rep named Hilary quickly responded to my inquiry to replace the parts with a quote (which was quite reasonable). That is quality customer service, getting what you need to keep enjoying your purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is by far the best AC/Heat unit I have ever had in my garage. My garage room is where my daughter and I spend countless hours in the TX heat and this keeps us very cool. I am extremely grateful for NewAir and this unit.

100% satisfied with customer service and product

Called customer service prior to ordering. I was concerned about noise level. On high, this unit runs at 56 db which is not intrusive. Free shipping both ways if I am not satisfied sold me. Unit was delivered quickly, within promised time frame. My home is in north central Idaho. Summer days are upper 90's. I have a large open area which includes living room, kitchen, laundry room, also high ceilings, close to 600 sq ft. Only used four times since receiving (no electic bill as yet) but happily found the temp. in my home was cooled to 77 when outside was 94. The reservoir for quicker cooling works well, runs about an hour or more then needs refilling. I drained the unit and found the process easy although after only four days not much water to drain. Installation was easy and with wide windows (45) the adapter was more than sufficient. I don't normally write reviews but am so satisfied with this company and product I felt compelled to do so. I plan to order another type of cooler for each of the two bedrooms.

Doesn't cool

This unit ran for three days in one room and it wouldn't drop below 79 degrees. The room is approximately 400 square feet and it was certainly cooler, but I found that the unit didn't do any better than the small, old window unit it replaced. I gave it a three because in all fairness, I never tried the heater or dehumidifier. FYI I did add water to the tank and I had drained any condensation from the unit.

My Newair

I must say the unit is very slick and modern looking. I can’t give a very detailed review on it yet because we live in Michigan and the A/C side of it we haven’t used, however the heater side we have used and I don’t like the way it acts when it reached the set point instead of just shutting down it switched to blowing cold air and the process starts all over again blowing warm air to bring it back to the temp you set it at. It seams like a lot on unnecessary useage of energy.

It did what it said and so far cools nice. Will test heater later. I am very happy. The remote and controls all use symbols so I had to keep looking in book. Now I am starting to remember.
