Garage space

I set the unit up today in my garage , had a 6 inch hole made in the concrete wall , purchased stainless steel brackets and a couple of hours later I can finally use my garage in this Florida heat . What a difference it makes .

This product is so easy to install from start to finish a third grader can do it. My wife installed it before I came home from work.
Great Unit...But..Using this in a closed/semi-sealed room under 500 sq ft won't work well. I placed it in my approx 450 sq ft (mostly sealed) garage, with the hose vented to the outside as directed and it sucked so much air out of the garage that my Home furnace quit working and I could literally feel air being sucked out of the wall sockets. So in order to work properly in a room under 500 sq ft you need to open a window or have a large air vent to the outside which kind of defeats the purpose. On the upside this monster still heats my garage up in less than 10 minutes. Have not used the Air Conditioner yet. Spoke with NewAir and their Customer service is top notch, have bought a few items from them over the years. They said I bought too large of a Unit for my space, and should return/exchange for a smaller BTU rating. May do this. But it's a pain trying to repackage for shipping..

I have used this model in my garage since I had it built and although it won't cool a 1500 sq ft building down to 75 degrees, it certainly is enough to take the edge off in those hot Florida summer days. Which is all I want from it. I have tried some other brands, and they just didn't push enough air, or the "cold" air coming out just wasn't really COLD. No, they won't last forever, but when one goes bad, normally because of fan noise building up, I just buy another of the same make and model, and that will do me just fine.

Works well, cools off a large room, needs a remote

I have owned this for almost 4 months now so it is time to give a review. The NewAir AC-14100H does a great job cooling our large bedroom, which is about 400 sq ft. It is quiter than a window unit but still makes some noise. Upkeep is easy. Add some water to it if you want it to cool more effeciently. A remote would be a nice addition. Also, one end of the hose needs to be a quick disconnect so it can be moved to different areas of the house easier. Making it screw into each end was not a good design. Other than that, this unit is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Portable Air Conditioner and Heater

I purchased this unit 5-6 years ago for my husband to use in his garage/workshop area. We live in Texas, and it is needed in summer heat and also in the cold of our winters. This has been a great purchase. It is set up well and is easy to regulate and use. We have had no problems with the unit. We had to replace the accordian type exhaust vent hose this year because the old one had become brittle, but that is to be expected. Would recommend!

Great Product and Customer Service

I purchased this unit to use in my garage for exercising as well as for when I am working out there in the summer heat. This unit performed very well. When an issue arose, their customer service wasted no time replacing the unit as it was under warranty. A very minor issue in my opinion, but it was handled with no hassle whatsoever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We used in our bedroom and have found it to be nothing more than a glorified super loud fan. The room which isn't large never cooled down below 79. Complete waste of money
