The fuses in my apt building blow pretty easy. This one has a low enough power draw that it's no problem---keep in mind that this means it's only suitable for really small areas. I use it to warm up the bathtub overnight so I don't freeze in the shower (remove heater before showering obviously). The only downside is the feet, as others have noted. I didn't trust them. They're just too flimsy and seemed like they would melt. I replaced them first thing with some scrapwood and four T-brackets, after bending the top of the Ts upward in a vise to hold the heater and screwed the long part of the T into the wood. I ordered the slightly damaged open box version when it was available and the damage was barely noticeable---a real bargain!

This is just right for use under a desk where the office is too cold. It will keep you toasty. Do not expect this to heat a room. It is not designed for that. The unit is completely silent!

Our office was unbearably cold and this unit keeps me toasty warm tucked under my desk. My only negative comment is that the unit itself gets hot to the touch - you wouldn't want it around for children to touch.

The only problem that I have experienced is that every once in awhile it makes a loud cracking noise that can be very startling as you are going off to sleep. I keep checking the feet for cracks but see none as yet. Hope its OK!
