Have used this camera for 4 months, almost daily. Deer hunts, cruise, hiking, family holidays. Does it all. Simple to use, versatile, goes everywhere, best features for the price. Great interface with computer.
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable

recently i had to purchase a new digital camera and read over many reviews. i picked a couple out that i wanted to look at and ended up purchsing this one.usually i am not one to write reviews, however, i am so happy with my purchase that i thought i should share my experience. i am not a camera afficiando however i wanted more than a point and shoot and i got it in this camera. i am still learning and have lots of fun with the many different features (b&w, widescreen, etc) still a little confused on shutter speed and lighting, but learning as i go. also having trouble capturing action at night scenes. work in progress...my only complaint, if you would call it that, is where do i put my thumb when i'm holding the camera? not alot of room on the back. nice camera overall though!
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Short battery life

I am a beginner. I am taking photos that rival my friend who is a professional. This camera is worth every dime. I have become addicted to photography. I blame the camera.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, love the zoom

I've been taking digital pics for probably 10 years, and have been an amateur photographer for 30. I've had Nikon SLR's to Casio-point & shoots.
I'd have to say this is one of the most intuitive, easy to use ( I recommend reading the manual) digital cameras I've had an opportunity to use. I especially like the large LCD display ( don't particularly like not having a separate viewfinder)- but that's a trade off on size. I've also found that re-chargeable NICad batteries are the only way to go. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a built-in microphone for video capture. Not Bose...but hey.. it's a camera !

I have been looking for digital camera for over a year, and finally after all this time, and countless reviews of all types of digital camera, I selected the CANON powershot SX110 is, what a fantastic camera, I'm a novice photographer, so I wanted an easy camera to use and one with at least a 3in viewing screen, WOW! I can't believe the pictures I've taken and that's on easy mode, can't wait to learn more about all the features this camera has, I can download my pictures in seconds and delete the ones that are no good, the 10x optical zoom is great, I took a picture of a blue heron on the water about a 150 yards offshore, the detail was incredible, this maybe the only camera I'll ever buy, trust me, you won't be disappointed with the CANON SX 110, go for it!

Outstanding pictures

Bought this camera because it was so easy to use and the picture quality is tremendous. I especially love the macro setting which makes it possible for me to take beautiful pictures of flowers up close with no distortion and outstanding crispness. The 10X zoom in such a small camera is unbelievable. I can zoom in on deer, birds and other critters and again the clarity is unbelievable. Taking pictures inside the house with no flash is also great. Natural indoor lighting is more than enough to take an excellent picture. Love this little camera. Also, easy to transfer pictures to computer and send out e-mail. Would highly recommend this camera.

Like most reviews of this camera, the SX110 is a great buy. It will take great pictures right out of chute on the point and shoot mode. Read the manual and you will be rewarded with many features to let you be as creative as you want. I own a D-40 (wich I truly love) but find this camera in my pockert all the time.
Having said that, the battery situation is pittiful. If they could put the D-40 Battery in the SX110 that would clean up any faults I have with the camera. You would have Battery life and the flash would re-charge - in a flash!

I bought this cameras for my parents. Easy to carry but high quality. Easy to use. But poor definition on LCD.
