bad choice

I bought this camera in Dec 08, to record my grand kids christmas. they have to be very still in order for the picture to come out good. which with 4 grandkids thats almost impossible... i have alot of shots of them moving and it's just a blurr.....what a waste of my hard earned money
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor image quality, Short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEST CAM EVER! for a nerd!!

get this camera, it will not disappoint. i am only 16 and love this beautiful camera!! bulky camera's are my thing and will always stick with the bulky gigantic ones!!!! over all, get this camera. i am into macros and this camera does not make me angry!! this thing is one of the better ones but it is my first Canon.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, why not get it?
Cons: no cons!! lol

Get rid of the wrist strap

Only con is, the wrist strap, give us a neck strap! I plan on using this camera in my day to day work stuff but, I can not due to that wrist strap. If I could hang around my neck, then much better

Great Overall Camera

I upgraded to this camera from an HP and it was a great choice. The flash re-charge and initial charge up is a little slow, but well within reason. The zoom is great and the optical stabilization works wonders when the zoom is fully extended. I have taken around 200 pictures so far and only 7 have been blurry.
Pros: easy to use, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable

I am very happy with the purchase of my camera from the minute I demo it in the store.I was looking to buy a SLR but price and ease of use was a concern,since my wife is not at ease using a SLR.This camera had so many features and so user friendly conpared to the other brands avaible it was a no brainer.Their are a few draws backs however (1) slow flash recovery (2) battery life (3) In the child and pet mode if the child or pet moves to fast it's going to blurr.Aside for three iteams its a great value for your money.After all it's not a SLR.

I owned an S2 and later a Powershot S3 and I hope this camera can give you 'slo-motion'.....when plugged in to a TV Monitor,,,,it's great for sport trainning, tennis serve, golf swing.etc.
Pros: excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable
