Great Camera

I like everything about this camera. You can use easy mode or auto and there is nothing to shooting great pics. I don't care about short battery life, I think that AA batteries can be found anywhere. Use Lithium and get longer life.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, you can get batteries anywhere
Cons: Short battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best buy for the money.
This camera has features that any user would be comfortable with.
Unlike the slim cameras, this is easy to hold and not too bulky.
This camera is much lighter than the SLR equivalent and the results in image quality are close to equivalent.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, durable
Cons: Short battery life

Cons: Short battery life

Loving the Power Shot Camera!

I see some "cons" re: short battery life - I highly recommend using AA Rechargeable (hi quality brand) batteries to solve this issue. I've been snapping pix and taking video regularly since receiving this as a holiday gift and I have only had to change batteries twice since December! I especially like the many features & settings for capturing candid shots of my pets (who move so quickly!) The options for continuous shooting (i.e. multi-burst) and recording voice-memos to still shots truly help capture the moments! The resolution is awesome with this camera. I use a Photosmart printer which allows me to directly place my SDHC memory card into a slot to access my pictures, edit and save them to discs - no need to spend time with alternative "hook-ups" or special cables to connect. The combo of this camera and my new printer produces professional quality photos even though I am a simple, casual user. This is my 3rd digital camera in 9 years - I have donated my previous models when replaced with a new one. I can't wait to use my Power Shot on a family cruise vacation to the Caribbean this coming spring; I still need to refer to the user guide often for the best results - but I'm still learning about the many "bells & whistles" available in this exceptional product!
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, good battery life, durable
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Extremely Happy

I purchased this camera a week ago. I LOVE IT!
The pictures are crisp and clear even using the 10X zoom. Took pictures of my grand daughter's cabbage ball game with lots of action and the results were amazing.
My grandkids are mostly who I take pictures of and with the movement of kids this camera will be great.
Only complaint is the battery compartment is a little hard to open. Since the SD card is in that location, it make it annoying to handle it so often. I like it better when the two items are in different locations.
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, durable, nice price
Cons: location of sd card slot

Best Money I have ever spent on a camera

I have been a Canon fan for many years but I bought a camera from another manufacturer. After a disapointing performance I bought the SX110 IS. I went on vacation to a hot air balloon festival and took both cameras. People could tell the difference between them. The colors from the SX110 were bright, vivid and the color saturation on the reds and blues were great. The LCD screen is bright and easy to see but I wish it had a view finder. In bright sunlight the screen is hard to see. For the price you can't beat this camera. Canons only from now on.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, good battery life
Cons: Missing features/settings
