Fits to a "T"

It was time to upgrade my still cam. I'm not a photographer, so "point 'n shoot" was my goal. I've used Canon camcorders for years, so when it came to a still camera, Canon was a natural. The Powershot A1000is does everything I want and then some. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable

I bought this camera because of it's simplicity of operation. My other 35 MM digital has so many bells and whistles that it takes the fun out of photography. And photography has been my "Love" for most of my 84 years. I have found that the 4X is all I need for day to day use. I love it.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life

The uncomplicated camera

I received the Canon A100IS as a Christmas present. Compared to previous point & shoot cameras I've owned, this model is the easiest to use. I'm tired of scrolling through on screen menus and options with cheap butons to do anything on a camera. The A1000IS has a fantastic quality scroll wheel that makes everything so simple & uncomplicated. My 84yr old grandmother was able to pick it up and easily take great quality pictures with the familiarity of having an actual view finder. Canon quality, easy to use point & shoot camera in a stylish form factor. The Canon A1000IS my new favorite digital camera.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, excellent image quality, stylish
Cons: Dim LCD, Short battery life

Very good camera for not alot of money

Very nice little camera for very cheap. I bought this one to replace an old Connon Powershot that I've had for years, (an A75 if I recall right). It has all the features that an average person could need for family events, nights out, trips, etc. Very easy to use, I picked it up and in the first five minutes had it figured out. I would highly recommend this camera!

Extensive features and options. Easy to use and takes great pictures. Camera battery life is OK if you use lithum batteries

This is by far the best camera I have owned yet! It has more features than I need, but it's nice to have them when I want them. What a great camera for the price! After trying several brands, I will stick with Canon from now on.

This is a really nice point-and-shoot camera for anyone, be you expert of novice. this is an idiot-proof camera, but it has enough features that one can use it for most anything. The strong point for this camera is really the macro. it captures flowers, bees, etc. beautifully.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

CANON A-1000 IS

I find the CANON PowerSHOT camera's to be great..excellent Battery TIME..quick Focus(subject)..and easy to use features..this particular camera seem to have a Full Range ZOOM(problem)..but is quite excellent in normal shooting ranges..even some extended shots can be surprisingly(good)..its lightweight(plastic)..and quite small..but I think its a good purchase..I chose this camera over the SX 110 IS.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Flimsy Construction
