this is the very first digital camera I have owned and I must say that right out of the box it was very easy to use. I took some pics in the auto and easy mode and WOW, those pics were excellent! With the camera being a 10 megapixel the pics are crisp and clear and when you download them and zoom into certain aspects of a pic, the detail is still clear and vivid. this is a MUST have camera for the beginner or a person who has never owned a digital camera before; great FIRST camera!! .
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this digital camera to replace an existing Canon film camera that I used for 19 years. This camera is great. It's small and lightweight, but best of all takes fantastic pictures using the automatic mode!!! I have gotten loads of compliments from my friends on the quality of the pictures.

I just completed a trip to the British Isles and was pleased at the quality of pictures I was able to get in very dark cathedrals, especially when shooting movie type shots. Battery life is quite good, too.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

This is my 3rd digiral camera and the best of all 3. I bought it about 2 months ago and have fooled around with the different settings - I still see no difference between "auto" and "easy". Can somebody tell me what the difference is? I am a real estate appraiser so a camera is essential to my work and this camera works fine and is very reliable. My biggest complaint is the time it takes the flash to "recharge: when shooting indoors.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, excellent image quality, good battery life
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance, Heavy/Bulky, slow to recharge flash

Good upgrade from point and shoot

I have been a point and shoot person, using disposables, for years. This camera is not complicated and I have been able to slowly expand what I can do. The directions are clear. I was even able to understand an unexpected on screen exposure adjustment, today. It is easy to carry and the display procedure is easy to use. The LCD washes out in the direct sun, but the viewfinder is helpful. I have printed out pictures at a drug store machine and they were very good. It does use up battieries faster than I expected, but AAs are always available and I bought some rechargeable ones, separately. I am satisfied.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good directions and the manual is available online
Cons: Short battery life, lcd washes out in direct sun
