Great Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5qt slow cooker is the perfect size for chili, making a meal for a potluck or even cooking a 4 to5# chicken. I use cooking bags with it to make clean up easier, but that's just my preference. There's ample room to fit everything and i like that it heats up & maintains temp consistently. I also appreciate the glass lid as opposed to a plastic lid. The rubber ring to secure the lid seemed a little small, so i probably wont use it to transport it -- it was very hard to get on when the cooker was empty, so i can only imagine the hazard risk of a burn if it was full of hot food.
Overall, im more than pleased with it & would definitely recommend it for purchase.

5 Quart Portable Slower Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this 5 Quart Portable Slower Cooker it doesn't take up too much room on the counter. You can cook almost anything in this slower cooker. I put chicken breast in there the other day & set it and forgot it lol it cooked about 5 hours and half. So I'll be using this slower cooker every other day. You should definitely get one

Heats too hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hamilton Beach 5 Quart Portable Slow Cooker. The first thing I noticed was that the metal ring on the glass lid had a groove, which allowed the glass to move around slightly and make a clicking sound. I used the slow cooker to make queso for our movie night, but the low setting heated up quickly and was too hot for the cheese, causing it to stick to the sides. It also heated unevenly causing one side to get too hot and the other side only warm. I did, however, like the strap that came with this slow cooker that would keep it from spilling while traveling if I wanted to take the slow cooker to another home or work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Shaped Crockpot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the size and shape of this crockpot for larger and oddly shaped items. I like the color black as it goes with most everything. I noticed a strong smell the first time I used it (assumed it was from the heating element) but since then it doesn't smell. I haven't quite figured out the black strap and how to have it catch on the handles.

Low level crock pot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First glance at the product. It is extremely light weight, the aluminum on the outside feels like it can be easily dented, the power cord is short. There are only 3 feet on the bottom which makes quite a wobbly setting, it could also use grippers to stop it from sliding around, It just feels cheap. While using it, there were noticeable hot spots and the exterior was not well insulted which resulted in the exterior being quite warm which is not good when you have toddlers in the house. I know this is a “slow cooker”but it took some time to actually heat up to where it was doing the actual cooking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great look and feel to this slow cooker! Brilliant innovation to come up with the lid that has handles to stretch over the sides to secure lid if transporting!! Will be my to to cooker in the future!!
