I purchased the Pixma MP240. After printing no more than 1,000 copies the printer's paper feeding system stopped working. Since the warranty is only 90 days, I am just out of my money. This means those copies were very expensive since I now have to purchase another printer. Canon wants me to consider purchasing from their Loyalty Program but I can't see having to purchase a new printer every 1,000 copies. I would not recommend this copier to anyone. Customer service was very polite when they told me I'd just have to purchase a new printer. It's the product that apparently cannot hold up to even minimal work loads.

I use to buy only HP printers before I got this Cannon MP240 all-in-one printer. I have found this printer is very easy on ink and the ink is alot cheaper and easier to get then my HP printers where. I always shop around amongst the stores to see who has the cheapest ink and I have not been in any store who did not have the ink for this printer.
This printer prints excellent pictures and is very fast. I give this printer a big thumbs up.

It's very difficult to find replacement cartridges--most internet providers do not list the MP240 nor the 210 or 211 cartridges
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, High Ink Consumption

A bad printer.

If you like printing things then don't buy this printer. It is garbage. The printer jams 20 times for every one page that prints, so it takes about an hour to print a 5 page document. Once I get a new printer, this thing will go out the window.

I have always used Epson printers, but was tired of using so much ink when printing color images. After reading up on quite a few printers, I decided to take a chance on the Canon Pixma MP240. It has all the features I want and what an easy set-up! The time that elapsed from box to printing a page was 10 minutes, and that was with reading the instruction booklet. The print is quiet and looks great. I couldn't be happier.

Works OK

I bought this printer because my old one was too slow. I was guaranteed this would be faster. Well it's not. It's too slow and it's very loud. Once I hit print, it takes about 15 seconds for it to set itself up before it prints one piece of paper. It does this setup thing every time I print something. The time of the actual printing is slow too. The print quality is good, but it seems to go through the ink quickly. I did try to return it, but I waited too long, so now I'm stuck with it.
Pros: Compact Design, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, loud when it prints

MP240 Ink Cartridges

I has been very difficult to fine MP240 Ink cartridges PG-210/210XL or CL-211/211XL online. In most cases the the MP240 printer is never listed as an option. In some cases when you finally find MP240 the catridges are unavailable. I haven't gone back to the store where I puchased the printer to look for cartridges. This will be my last resort. The MP240 printer is only as good when it has ink it. No ink, no good!

This is my first computer purchase and I was snowballed by the store. The canon printer is ok but ther are features that could be improved. I go through alot of ink and hard to find in stores. I don't want to order ink from online and should not have to. The printer makes alot of noise and i would prefer something that makes less noise. Pictures are great but the purpose of buying this was for other projects too. I'm not happy and I do not suggest buying this printer, however canon sells several great printers but they are expensive. colors are great w/ photos ,not general printing . And yes I bought expensive paper to bring out color quality, my daughter loves the disney website and this printer just is not" makin pretty pictures" my daughter is 6 but even she sees the difference with this printer.Thankyou
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, great picture quality, quality box the product comes in and packed well t
Cons: Flimsy Construction, High Ink Consumption, Dull Tones & Colors, poor printing colors are dull., makes alot of noise., takes for ever to start printing
